Dr. Tom Randolph Norris, MD

I saw Dr. Norris one time, at my preliminary visit (and he was horribly rude). I used him anyway because he had a good reputation but he never saw me before or after the surgery, just sent his lackeys. After surgery he gave poor instructions to my PT and, as a result, I have very little mobility in the shoulder he supposedly replaced. By the way, it never sets off the machine at the airport. I wonder if he even replaced my shoulder. I tell everyone to give him a cold shoulder.

Waited over three hours to see Dr. Norris, no one offered any explanation. Weeks later when I attempted to follow up was told to speak with his associate whom I had spoken with all of five minutes. Still waiting.

Worst experience of my luge still suffering from his negligence

"Dr." Norris badly fractured my shoulder socket during my shoulder during my shoulder joing replacement surgery that later I found out I didnt even need. That man left me disabled at the age of 40 years old. I was a firefighter and now can barely use that arm. He has zero follow up and sent me to aggressive physical therapy with a badly displaced fracture that took two more surgeries to finally get it to a place that I wasnt screaming in pain after 18 months of total misery. The Dr that fixed his mess and another highly respected bay area surgeon both told me I never should have had my shoulder replaced, he only did it because he was writing a journal article to get published in a medical journal and used his patients as guinny pigs. Do not let this man touch you, it is a huge gamble, he wouldnt even talk to me on the phone, said I had to drive 100 miles if I wanted to speak to him, pompous jerk. I could go on but 10 years later my shoulder is still in excrusiating pain from small… movement like typing.

Dr. Norris is execptional in his field. He has given me the ability to lead a normal life after a severe injury to my shoulder. He listens more than any doctor I have ever had to see and truly cares about his patients!

Dr. Norris has done surgery on my shoulder two times. I was seriously injured in 1981 when injured by a company owned vehicle. He once again installed a complete shoulder prosthesis in 1993. I'm still ticking just fine.

One of the top shoulder replacement surgeons in the country. Did a great job with my shoulder replacement.But his office is a consumer's nightmare --- waits are typically over an hour, office staff doesn't return phone calls, information about follow-up care is rarely provided.
