Dr. Tomas Eduardo Debrigard, MD

Dr. deBrigard is an excellent pediatrician. He will not prescribe medicine if he does not think it will help the patient. Dr. deBrigard is all about teaching self-care where appropriate and trained me in monitoring my child's oxygen level to determine what level of care is needed. If he needs to explain something, he will get out a medical text book and show the patient and parent (for example, the color of a healthy eardrum vs. one with an ear infection). Do not challenge his knowledge. He will bring out the corresponding text to show he is right! Appointments are nearly always available when needed, and they run on time. Often times, I arrive early and am out the door at the time my appointment was scheduled to begin. I like that Dr. deBrigard sees my children each time and every time. His is a one-man practice, so there is not a rotating staff of doctors and nurse practitioners to see your children at various times (I'm talkin' to you, famous Brandon pediatrician that all the… soccer moms go to!). Dr. deBrigard becomes familiar with the parent, the child, and the child's individual health issues. He also recommends very good specialists. I have never been disappointed in any of his recommendations. Dr. deBrigard visits his patients if they are in Brandon Regional Hospital for any reason. He is very concerned if one of his patients is admitted, even if for reasons outside of his scope of practice. His support staff, office manager Scott and medical assistant Selena are also very nice to deal with. They often offer to help since both my children are special needs and can be a handful for me to take to an appointment myself.

have to change to another dr. He's arrogant, and the nurse have hers days too. sometimes (few) they are so nice but most of the time they are rude. my kids are sick most of the winter time and he just said it will gone away if i take them to the ER he said that the doctors at the hosp. always say the same to all the patients.

I have taken my daughter to Dr. D for years. She will be 17 soon and I am dreading the day she can no longer see him! And lets not forget Scott the office manager and Mimi his nurse! I have referred many people and will continue to do so!

If you're looking for fancy technology and flat screen TVs on the wall, then this isn't the place for you. BUT if you're looking for consistently great care, then this is the best office around! I love that it is a single physician practice and that my daughter ALWAYS sees Dr. D - he will spend up to an hour with you going over every detail and never makes you feel rushed. His office manager (Scott) is as friendly and helpful as they come. I was so happy we made the switch.

Every time i bring my kids to him, He always makes them feel much better.

My son is a patient with Dr De Brigard. His office is very clean and his staff is wonderful. In any case I can get my son an appointment usually within the day of calling. Also, the doctor is available via phone 24/7.
