Dr. Tomasz Damian Gutowski, MD

Today I saw Dr. Gutowski for a consultation regarding biopsies to rule out a diagnosis of cancer in the 4 small tumors located in my leg confirmed by MRI. It was the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a physician. In my opinion, Dr. Gutowski was condescending, abrupt, and dismissed any questions or concerns that I had. He simply told me he does not do muscle biopsies (I know better), and that I should go see my primary care physician. I told him my primary care physician had sent me to him to obtain the needed biopsies to either rule out or confirm the disease. It was not as much that he did not want to do the biopsies as it was the disrespectful manner in which I was treated. Dr. Gutowski abruptly ended the visit by telling me to choose another disease and have a good life.

Today my family’s experience with Dr Tomasz Gutowski was absolutely horrible . We were told to arrive for an outpatient surgery at 11:45 am and then we’re informed at 1 pm from a nurse that the surgery was going to be put off until 5pm, at this point my Husband had not eaten since dinner time the night before & hadn’t drank any water since 9 am . Dr Gutowski was no where to be found to inform us of this delay and when he finally came in the room he was in the room for less then a minute and rudely asked if we had any questions and before me or my mother in law could reply he quickly walked away and gave us dirty looks . My mother in law and I work in the medical field and we were outraged by how horrible his bed side manner is . I am very appreciative of how nice the nurse and the anesthesiologist was and how he answered all questions .

Dr. Gutowski has performed two surgeries on me and I couldn't be happier with the experience I had. The first time I met him it was during the most terrifying time of my life, I had been diagnosed with breast cancer. I walked into his office in tears, I had no idea what I was facing, I was scared. He was amazing, he patiently talked about my surgical options, answered my questions and explained the process. He's so kind and doesn't rush you. When it came time for my gallbladder to be removed he was my surgeon of choice. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needs a surgeon.

I recently had a Cholecystectomy and this was my first major surgery. Dr. Gutowski and his team were awesome. From consult to post op, they so helpful and professional and personable. Had no worries very confident in their abilities. He also has an amazing team working with him. Thank you!!
