Dr. Toncred Marya Styblo, MD

Extremely rude and crass. Do not recommend!

Dr. Styblo is a skilled and compassionate physician surgeon. She explained the procedures and potential outcomes simply and clearly. I had a list with many questions and she answered them all. Funny, she commented about my list and insisted I check again to ensure all my questions were answered. Before surgery I walked into the cool OR and before getting on the table, Dr. Styblo unfolded a warm blanket and laid it down before I got on table. She said I want you to to be comfortable. Absolutely recommend Dr. Styblo and her team of extraordinary doctors at Emory Healthcare!

Dr. Styblo performed my surgery in 2012. She is smart, sensitive, and candid. She showed genuine concern. She went over and beyond when it came to ensuring that I received great care. Also, she called the plastic surgeon and asked him to come in from vacation to explain my reconstruction options. She is a no nonsense surgeon. Also, she is skilled, compassionate, and smart.

Dr Styblo was extremely rude to my family. She shows no compassion whatsoever. She talked down to us and repeatedly cut us off when we tried to ask questions. She seemed annoyed by the fact we were asking questions. This is my mother's first time battling cancer (breast) and I'm sure she is scared such as I, but there is no reason for being treated like my mother didn't matter. She must have forgotten her oath (Hippocratic).

She takes time to be with her patients with this world of hurry in and out service we have today it was nice not to feel like that again in the medical world greatly appreciated.

Dr. Styblo is who I went to for a second opinion and I chose her for my surgery. She is brilliant and has years of extensive experience with breast, and treats and sees you as an individual in your needs. I have never been so impressed with a physician/surgeon. I drove three hours to see her from another town rather than local options.

I would not refer her. She needs to show some compassion for her patients.

I saw Dr Styblo for a second opinion after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was so caring and patient, she answered all my questions and met with my family. I saw several other surgeons and I chose her to be my surgeon. I am so glad that she is my doctor, she saved my life!!

No bedside manner and arrogant. Too busy to explain my condition to me...found it insulting that I would ask. I found another doctor.

Dr. Styblo is the most caring, helpful, educational, knowledgable doctor! She spent all of the time I needed, fully discussed all of the options and answered all of my questions. I selected her after interviewing several other surgeons and she will always be my first choice everywhere and at Emory! Anyone who needs a surgical oncologist in the Atlanta area (or anywhere for that matter) should see Dr. Styblo.
