Very good Dr.

She has a very terriable bedside manner. She made me feel attacked. I took the day off of work for an appt with her and for no reason. She never gave me any medical advice and actually made me feel attacked by her. I left her office in tears.

JUST NOT HAPPY WITH HER DOCTOR SKILLS

Just like the other reviews stated, this office/Dr., Roberts Street Clinic, will nickel and dime you to death. I have been seeing Dr. Hero for about 10 years. If you question anything, she tends to be very condescending. Every year and sometimes more than once a year, I expressed some concerns regarding symptoms I had on a daily basis. Every time, I got the same response from Dr. Hero..."watch your diet, eat healthy and try some over the counter medications". Well, guess what? I just found out the symptoms were very serious warning signs that I was poisoning my body everyday with Gluten. I have Celiac disease! This could have been diagnosed by a simple blood test. Had she had listened to me after the 2nd time I mentioned symptoms (which were all the top signs of Celiac disease), 9 years ago or dug a little deeper, the damage to my health and body would not have been so severe. What disgusts me even more is that she has not bothered to follow up with me after receiving the… results from the Specialist either via phone or at a recent office visit. This is not a Dr. that cares about her patients but rather just getting paid. I am currently searching for a new Practitioner.

Overall-this is a decent office, however, if you just need a basic cough medicine...they will nickel and dime you to death, forcing you to go in for the littlest of things. Every year when I schedule my annual physical, I get a very annoying letter stating that this time is only for a regular physical and if you have any other issues you want addressed, you must make a separate appointment. Are they out of the freaking mind!!! I can understand if it's a huge issue, broken arm or something but that is rediculous. Again...nickel and dime you to death.

Dr. Hero has been my primary care physician for nearly 10 years. What I appreciate about her the most is that she teaches me what I need to know and what I'd like to know--and this helps me take better care of myself. She explains both the methods and the reasons for any treatment. I am healthy because she prescribes my medicines when I'm sick, but I know I'm even healthier because she teaches me how to stay that way.
