Since 2010, Dr. Stanley has performed surgery on me three times, each time for a different condition. First was removal of one lobe of my thyroid gland, which contained a precancerous growth. She was honest about possible side effects, and afterwards I was delighted upon learning that my singing voice was in no way affected by the surgery. The second time I needed an emergency gall bladder removal. The third time I needed a mastectomy and axillary lymph node dissection for stage II breast cancer. Each time i received the best of care. Dr. Stanley explained things clearly, listened compassionately to my concerns, and answered my questions honestly, My recovery time in each case was simple, straightforward, and quick, I believe in part because of her skills as a surgeon.

I was seen by Dr. Stanley prior to breast lumpectomy for breast cancer. I asked her what her re-excision rate for breast lumpectomy surgery was. She told me it was 5%. I had a 2nd opinion with a surgical oncologist in Milwaukee who told me her rate was 20%. The national average is 25% per the 2nd opinion surgical oncologist. When I confronted her with this information, she replied, "Maybe I exaggerated a little bit." That's not just an exaggeration, but a lie. I totally lost my trust in her as a doctor and surgeon. I am saddened by her ethics and morals especially when you are putting your life in her hands.

Dr. Stanley is very personable and easy to converse with re. concerns. Performed exam and procedure in office on first visit. Explained in detail the problem and what I could expect in future regarding condition. Highly skilled and extremely professional at all times.

Dr. Stanley is the perfect combination of warm and professional. She is caring, but not patronizing. She converses with her patients about their condition, and offers information and explanations as they need it. She is very professional, and evokes confidence.
