Dr. Tony Zhengyu Cui, MD

Dr. Cui is a board-certified, fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physician who specializes in the care of athletes and active individuals. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He then completed his family medicine residency at the University of Minnesota St. Joseph’s/Woodwinds Program, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at John Peter Smith Health Network in Arlington, Texas.

Prior to joining Houston Methodist Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Dr. Cui served on the medical team for multiple collegiate and professional organizations, including Texas Christian University (TCU), Texas Wesleyan University, Nelson University, USA Boxing, and the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament (March Madness).
