Dr. Tony Chienhsiang Ning, MD

Prior to having Dr. Ning as my rheumatologist, I spent the first 5 years of my 30s in constant lower spine and hip pain, bouncing from one GP to the other never getting any answers and basically my symptoms being pushed to the side. Finally I forced the hand of my GP to send me to a Rheumatologist. A little over 5 years ago I was sent to Dr. Ning. I am one of those cases where the typical inflammatory markers (CRP), SED rate, etc are normal and no autoantibodies, thus no strong indicators of inflammation or autoimmune disease by typical blood tests. Dr. Ning spent over a half hour with me, listening to everything I had to say in that first meeting. He begin his initial assessment and immediately noticed the pitting in my finger nails and upon further investigation started to find minor areas on my skin that suggested possible psoriasis. He immediately suspected psoriatic arthritis and upon doing the X-rays of my spine and hips, this was confirmed. He immediately started me on the… proper treatments and within 1 -2 months started to slowly feel better. Dr. Ning continues to work with me in making sure I am still on the proper treatment. Most recently about 6 months ago I was also diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, further confirming my autoimmune status that Dr. Ning caught 5 years prior. I can only imagine that if he would not have been as careful as he was with this assessment of me, that it would not have been until this onset of ulcerative colitis that I would have received the proper treatment I needed and the psoriatic arthritis likely would have progressed. While it has been a slow process, it been a very successful process over the past 5 years and I can say that today now in my early 40's I feel about as good as I did in my 20's, still able to do HIIT workouts again, etc and the thanks for this I believe goes entirely to Dr. Ning.

Dr. Ning has been my rheumatologist going on three years now. I love this man. He has the patience of a saint and treats me with the utmost respect every time I see him. Not only does he treat you with respect, he treats you as an equal. He's the type of person I would be honored to call a friend. He has worked diligently with me over the three years to resolve my issues and find the best course of action. I highly recommend him and have recommended him to friends and colleagues.

Always aware of my history when we meet. First dr to Understand that what I'm going thru truly affects my life even if it isn't the worst case he's seen. Always listens. Quick, efficient visits. Responds super quickly to emails with questions and refill requests.

I became acquainted with Dr. Ning while involved in an 18 month clinical trial. At the conclusion of the trial I became a patient of Dr. Ning. In the past 4 years I've come to appreciate the time, attention and continuing professional care he and his staff have provided me. I'm grateful to say my health has definitely improved during his care.

Dr. Ning is prompt and well prepared for my appointment. He has reviewed my lab work and my medications prior to seeing me. He is always pleasant and answers all of my questions. I would recommend him to anyone needing a rheumatologist.

Dr. Ning is one of the most compassionate doctors I've ever had. I have two types of arthritis and Dr. Ning has been working with me for over two years. He really cares about his patients and works hard to find a resolution to your condition. He has helped me immensely and I have complete trust in him.

Dr. Ning has been a wonderful blessing for me. When I first saw him I had arthritic symptoms that kept me from walking, getting dressed and taking care of my family. He listened and was so empathetic. He answered all of my concerns. He was able to quickly confirm my diagnosis and gave me the meds I needed to get my problems under control.
