Dr. Tonya Christine Cockrill, MD

I wish I had read the other reviews for this doctor before becoming her patient, what a mistake! The 1-star reviews are all 100% correct. Rude, dismissive, unprofessional staff. I went to this office to seek treatment for an autoimmune condition. They treated me like trash.

Caring and understanding. Most of all she gives very good information,explains every option for treatment.

I must say the doctor is great but she really needs to get rid of her receptionist. I believe her name is Brittany but I can't even remember. I will never be back which is a shame because the doctor is good. The receptionist is rude, dismissive and seems like she is just there to get a paycheck! She does not care about patients, the doctor or the office. I feel bad that the doctor was this person as their front line. What an awful experience!

What a welcoming office and staff! Brittany went out of her way to get my dad out of pain! We loved Dr. Cockrill, her knowledge and care were evident.

Dr. Cockrill recently moved into a new building and replaced some staff members. Others seem to have had issues with staff/calls but the actual office visit was great. Recommended.

I was called by her staff and told they had gotten a referral and that I needed an appt quickly. Was given a date, and when I showed up they told me my appt was actually a whole month later. Rudest staff I have ever encountered .

I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis in 2015. Dr. Cockrill has been very thorough with each issue that comes up. She is in REGULAR contact with all my doctors. When we discuss options for my different issues she listens to me and makes me feel like she really cares. Works around my schedule. I absolutely love that she has a patient portal. I sometimes forget to inform her of something new that I have noticed and I will send her a quick message. Dr. Cockrill or her nurse will respond fairly quickly. With this being the first time I have ever been sick in my life and it being an illness that's does not have a cure. I really hit the jackpot in finding Dr. Cockrill. Only negative is her small office and parking area. I do know she's working on this issue and will be moving soon.

The Dr. was ok, but somewhat dismissive. I only went twice. I will never go back and I would never recommend this practice. Thank God we have other choices in this area. I have never encountered a more unprofessional staff in my life! No follow ups on tests. Several very arrogant and condescending women. One of them was especially egregious. The staff seems to always be too busy to talk to a lowly patient. They just ignore you when you are standing right in front of them. They don't have the courtesy to even say "I will be with you in a minute". I could go on and on about this terrible staff. Worst experience ever with a physicians office.

Doctor cares.....office staff and medical assistants don't.
