Nightmare Experience Proving The Negligence & Professionalism carried out by Toran J. MacArthur, M.D. and Staff at "The Clinic" in American Fork & Lehi, Utah.1st Phone Call: Called in to "The Clinic" for a referral to be sent to University of Utah office.Three weeks go by and I never receive a phone call from University of Utah office.Called University of Utah office to see if they received the referral, they stated "No."2nd Phone Call: Called "The Clinic" and asked them why they haven't sent the referral, they stated, we did and we'll send it again.Called the University of Utah 2 days later and they stated we still haven't received the referral.Third Phone Call: Called back to "The Clinic" again and stated that the University of Utah office hasn't received it, she states I'm sending it right now. That time around University of Utah office received the referral.Because of the time, 3-4 weeks, it took "The Clinic" to get the referral sent over to the University of Utah office, this… being a time sensitive issue, it now resulted in myself not being able to see the University of Utah office.I now have to cancel my appointment with the University of Utah office and go elsewhere because of lack of professionalism on behalf of "The Clinic." Fourth Phone Call: I have to get a referral sent to a new office now. The staff at "The Clinic" gives me a hard time having to send the referral elsewhere. I'm now transferred to a supervisor by the name of "Lynn." Lynn insinuates I'm a liar and that I didn't call in that many times to get a referral sent over and that they record and take notes on all phone calls and then hung up on me.Result:One week later I receive a USPS certified letter which requires me to physically sign and pick up a letter from "The Clinic" at the local post office. The letter states as follows: "This letter is to inform you that we feel that it would be in your best interest to find another primary care physician to take care of your medical needs. We will be able to provide medical care for you and your family during the next 30 days in the event you need treatment and you are unable to obtain medical care from another physician. Letter signed by: Toran J. MacArthur, M.D. Fifth Phone Call: SHOCKED! I call in to find out why I'm being terminated from their clinic after all this neglect on their behalf. Once again I am on the phone with "The Clinic" Supervisor, Lynn. I am seeking facts about why Toran J. MacArthur is terminating me from their clinic and why? What grounds or reasoning do you have to do this to me? Lynn responds, "The Doctor has the right to not disclose this information to you." I then asked her if I could get the names of the people that neglected the referral requests, Lynn states, "Sorry sir we don't record all calls and don't know who you spoke with and I'm not at liberty to give you that information." In conclusion, I felt like it's in my rights as a patient to know why Dr. Toran J. MacArthur is able to terminate me, unfortunately not.

My family and I have been seeing this physician for four years now and we are VERY pleased with him in every aspect! He is a doctor that "works with you" in your health care... and those are hard to find!I highly recommend him to friends, family and YOU if you are looking for the care and treatment you deserve!

I've seen Dr. MacArthur for several years. He's been very accurate in treating a number or problems. I highly recommend him. My only frustration with the doctor's office is that there is no one to answer their phones during lunch hour! Really? That's frustrating when it may be the only convenient time a patient can call for an appointment.
