Dr. Torre Piazza Morgan, MD

I had a colonoscopy today performed by Dr. Morgan. Both the planning/preparation and procedure itself went very smoothly. I received the needed prep information well in advance, and the overall office/nursing support staff were both pleasant and efficient.

She's smart but not condescending. She's thorough. And, she listens!

Upon taking my second dose of prep for a morning colonoscopy I began vomiting (a lot) before it began working. I arrived dizzy, nauseated, with a pounding headache and was immediately given a bed and fluids to rehydrate. Dr. Morgan came and spoke me to and determined I wasn't prepped enough to have colonoscopy then, but would fit me in next day, since I was "halfway there" with prep. Everyone was kind, accommodating, and attentive. Dr. Morgan was very understanding and explained everything. A+

Dr. Morgan is pleasant and probably competent, but is ditzy. Her office once sent me a lab report for another patient, and independently, mislabeled a specimen to be tested. Some of the information I got from her orally was confused or simply mistaken. Their patient portal has no functionality, so it is impossible to communicate with her office except by phone. Her secretary is nice and also easy to reach, but may have been responsible for some of the mess-ups. Impossible to tell.

After waiting more than 3 months for an appointment, I was kept waiting in the office for 55 minutes. Dr. Morgan did not apologize. Instead, sensing my mood, criticized me. Her medical skills are not in question here, but I too have a busy schedule.

I've been a patient of Dr. Morgan's for almost 6 years. She got a new secretary at the end of 2012 and since then it has become nearly impossible to get messages through - and when they do get through they are not accurate. Dr. Morgan has always been responsive, thorough and has an excellent bedside manner. Despite the quality of care, I would NOT recommend her to anyone due to the bulldog at the front desk.

Dr. Morgan is awesome. I am a UC patient and my previous gastroenterologist missed a condition I have that made a great deal of difference to my prognosis. Dr. Morgan identified it with her first examination...she actually listens, is friendly and puts you at ease...I would not think of having anyone else take care of me. Thanks to my PCP for her recommendation of Dr. Morgan.

She is awesome. UC patient have had many colonoscopies...most comfortable with Dr. Morgan. She listens...

Dr Morgan was very warm and reassuring. The procedure was a breeze. Everybody was really nice and helped me make feel comfortable, from the warm blanket to the friendly nurse and the recovery room.

Bad experience.
