Dr. Townsend V Holt, DDS

Townsend V. Holt, D.D.S, M.Sc.O., P. A.
Dr. Townsend V. Holt, also known as “TV”, is a native of Raleigh, NC. Dr. Holt graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a D.D.S. He served in the Navy as a dentist for two years. Afterward, he returned to UNC for his Master of Science in Orthodontics.
Dr. Holt is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the South Carolina Dental Association, the South Carolina Orthodontic Association, the Tweed Foundation, the Pee Dee Dental Society and the Florence County Dental Society. He has been president of the UNC Orthodontic Alumni Association, the Pee Dee Dental Society, the South Carolina Orthodontic Association, and the Florence County Dental Society.
Dr. Holt has also earned the distinction of being recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is an active member of his alumni association and has taught orthodontics in the UNC Orthodontics Department. He has presented table clinics at …the South Carolina Dental Association and the Hinman Dental Meeting, and has presented papers at the Florence County Dental Society and the Charles Tweed Foundation for Clinical Research.
In civic endeavors, Dr. Holt has served as president of the Board of the Florence Museum, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Florence Area Literacy Council The Florence Little Theatre, and the Chamber of Commerce. He is an active member of the Florence Rotary Club and a former member of the Jaycees and the Kiwanis Club. He has been a sponsor for numerous charity functions and community ball teams.
Dr. Holt is an avid golfer and also enjoys art, sculpting and dancing. He has three children-Kimberley, Van, and Melissa, and seven grandchildren.
