Dr. Trace Deighan,

Please don’t go to him. I made an appointment to see him going to an immediate care for pelvic discomfort and after a pelvic exam the doctor there told me to see a gynecologist for further evaluation. The immediate care doctor was concerned about possible ectopic pregnancy, I have PCOS, and my mom has cervical cancer leading to a hysterectomy in her 30’s. I was extremely concerned, as my issues have now been going on for almost 2 months. Checking in was super quick and the receptionist was nice. The nurse, Romona, was AMAZING! Super friendly, so understanding, and very efficient. She got all of my information and then left to go get the doctor. I could hear her outside the door standing up for me to the doctor, Dr. Deighan, and another nurse that I never saw. The other nurse very rudely said that I wasn’t pregnant as the urine pregnancy test they did was negative. That was the only thing I know about her at all. Dr. Deighan then comes in the room, tells me I’m not pregnant, refuses to… talk to me about the fact that I very much still have an issue going on even if it isn’t pregnancy, and says the only thing I need to decide is if I want to continue my depo shot or not. When I push for an ultrasound because SOMETHING is going on and I want to know what, he reluctantly agrees to schedule me for one. He also does blood work to check that my thyroid medication is working correctly, which I’m fine with but find unnecessary, and checks no other labs. He does a brief abdominal exam that he doesn’t tell me if it was normal or abnormal and that’s it. He stated that I didn’t need a pelvic exam because I already had one, even though I was there because the doctor that did my pelvic exam felt something potentially concerning and wanted me to follow up with someone that could look in to it further. The person that took my blood wasn’t very professional either but that’s neither here nor there. I found a new gynecologist and called to cancel my ultrasound appointment and when I told the receptionist that I was uncomfortable continuing to see Dr. Deighan and that I’d found a new doctor so I was cancelling my appointment she said “great! I’ll get this canceled for you!” in a very happy tone and that was it. I cannot recommend finding another place to go enough. Please please please do not go here.
