Went in for wound care at St. Vincent. I thought I was seeing my regular doctor and in walks Dr. Ikerd. He had never seen me before and started being rude asking why was I there? My question was who are you? He stated he was filling in for my doctor. He then started an infomercial about weight loss surgery. Making claims that all my wounds would heal if I has weight loss surgery. I was here for wound care not a lesson on being fat. He had no idea what my history was or that I was working with my cartologist to lose weight. He was rude and really had no business filling in for my regular doctor. He would not let up on weight loss surgery. He finally left and the nurse seemed embarrassed by him. I later found out he has weight loss surgery and he thinks it's a fix all. He might be a fine infectious disease doctor, but he sucks a wound care and has no business talking to people he just met about weight loss surgery. That is a conversation for a cartologist or family doctor.

Dr. Ikerd was winderful with my care. He is friendly, knowledgable and professional. He is very thorough and good to answer all questions and takes time to make sure you understandwhat he is saying. He takes the time and does a great follow up

Dr. Ikerd is extremely knowledgeable of his field and takes a personal interest in his patients and their well being. During the treatments he informed of progress and is available when there are questions.

Straight forward, up front and honest. Excellent bedside manner, looked me and my husband in the eye during the entire consult, explained everything very well, left no question unanswered and i was left knowing i was in the right hands.

I have been a patient for 2.5 years, and the entire team at Dr Ikerds office is tops! Professional, caring, considerate and informative. I would go no where else for serious care!
