Dr. Tracy Austin Coffey, MD

She is the best!!

Dr Coffey has always been very considerate and sweet. She makes you feel like a friend and you can tell she cares! I have been so happy to have her as my doctor and deliver my two babies! Couldn’t recommend her enough.

I went in for surgery and was terrified. Dr. Coffey talked with me and explained everything and recognized personal things about me to make me feel like she cared. Her staff are incredible and I just cannot think of a better place to have gone. Professional, clean, on time, and the most friendly people I have met in the weirdest moments of your life.

Seldom do I trust doctors. Dr. Coffee is the best I have ever had. Honest, caring and highly detail-oriented, she and her incredible staff worked so hard to make sure I was comfortable and ready for surgery. On-time, clean, and efficient with the procedure, she and her staff had incredible compassion and concern. I asked one nurse to come in the room with me during the procedure and she stopped everything she was doing to be there. My recovery has been incredible due to Dr. Coffey's incredible work. She was great enough to give me plenty of time off work to recover. I cannot think of anyone else I would rather have helped me. Thank you for all you have done.

Dr. Coffey is a wonderful doctor. She has an amazing way of making you feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. She is kind, funny, caring and observing to/of her patients. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor with great beside manners and a heart to go with it.

If I could give her 0 stars i would. She has no consideration for her patients. She misdiagnosed my labor pain, told me that I was not in labor and that I was having back pain from carrying twins. She didn't pay attention to the ultrasound that showed my twins in position ready to be deliver, please not that I was only 27 weeks. She did not check to see if I was dilated even with all the complaints that I had and what the ultrasound showed. After having my appointment that morning I had to go to the Emergency Room that night and my twins were born and taken to Vanderbilt. The 3 days I was in the hospital she only came to see me on the last day right before I was discharged. Now I'm trying to get in for my 6 week appointment and she refuses to see me and tells me that I have to see an ARNP. May be she doesn't want to be confronted that she did a horrible job, or maybe she doesn't want to hear that I had to bury one of my babies. I'm not saying it's her fault but I feel that she could… have done a better job and maybe this could have been avoided. Unfortunately this was my first pregnancy so I didn't know all the signs and symptoms of labor, especially this early on. But I know one thing for sure, next time I will make sure I go to someone that cares and I'm not just a number.
