Dr. Tracy Askew Nims, MD

On my second pregnancy I decided to go with Dr. Nims and I'm glad I did. Unlike my prior OB GYN, Dr. Nims was patient and thorough, kind and knowledgeable. She made me feel at ease with my pregnancy, answered my questions, and was even nice to my husband! From what I can tell, most OB GYNs are overworked, and understaffed. Because Dr. Nims works for herself however, she is able to shepherd her patients through their whole pregnancy, and give them the customized care every mother deserves. If you're serious about your pregnancy, and serious about your quality of care, give Dr. Nims a call.

I would recommend her any given day! She's an amazing woman, she really cares about her patients. She took time out of her busy schedule to help me all through out my first pregnancy. Doctor Nims is straight forward and that's the type of doctor you want! My whole family loved her! I'm going back for my second child here soon and I don't feel no where near as nervous as the first time. If you pick Tracie Nims to deliver your baby, you're in great capable hands!

Dr. Nims is very rude and mean OB. I do NOT recommend her to anyone. She will not attend anyone who is over weight, she will not circumcise any non-white newborn boy. She mistreats Medicade patients and are only somewhat nice to those who pay. If you want a smooth and stress free pregnancy and not get your feelings hurt go to an OB that will treat you nice and who actually cares about your pregnancy. You also have to wait for hours just to get in a room, from there another hour to be attended. Worst experience

Never again will I return to this office. I waited in my little gown for 3 hours without seeing her because she was "on the phone". I finally had enough and left without any results, just wasted time. The receptionist Sharon is a REAL gem too.

Dr. Nims is extremely mean. She has an uncaring attitude towards her patients and is apathetic to anything you have to say. I have had horrid experiences in her office. Including being left in a room for hours at a time and even for about 3 hours (until closing) because she forgot I was in the room waiting. The only thing she has going for her is that she has a very friendly receptionist and nurses.

I have been going to Dr. Nims for several years. I am 67 years old. She has been definitive in her prognosis of several situations and I trust her with any and all of my gynecological problems. When there is a problem out of her field, she is quick to suggest a specialist. I have learned to be specific in my questions,to respect her time, but I have seen her soft side of her personality as well. I have recommended her to several of my friends.

She diagnosed me with a concealed abruction at just 32 weeks, with in 5 minutes i was out of her office and in surgery!! She saved both our lives!! Any patient would be lucky to have such an attentive doctor, that's why one year later we choose her again!

After reading some of the reviews on here I just have to say I personally prefer a Dr. to be direct, get to the point, answer questions and do their job. I do not go to the Dr. to make a new friend. That being said, yes Dr. Nims can seem a little brash and snappy but the reality is I would prefer for someone who is handling mine and my babys life/health to NOT sugar coat anything just to avoid hurting my feelings. Dr. Nims is an excellent doctor! She does not do what she does just for the money, If she did when I asked her about birth control options after my son came she would have sold me on anything I was interested in.(especially because I was paying out of pocket upfront, the money would have gone straight into her bank account!) Instead she advised against the procedure I was curious about and informed me about other less costly and healthier options I had that she would be willing to do. She can be intimidating but that is because she KNOWS what she is doing. While I was in… labor she came to checked on me regularly and when it came time to push she was very motivating, she made sure I knew exactly what was going on down there and her knowledge put me at ease. I would and have recommended her to friends of mine! She was outstanding!

for start i waited at least over an hour every vist just to get back to room and wait another 30 min half naked for doctor to come in only for her to stay max 15 min in room with me another key thing to know she closes her eyes when she talks to you i am a person who must look someone in there eyes so it kinda freaked me out and made me wonder if she will do the same when my baby is coming out and drop it or something just not comfortable

Dr. Nims is a good doctor, but she's sometimes very impatient to me and downright rude. When I have gone to see her a few times, she acts like she can't stand the sight of me, then other times she's not too hateful and it feels like she's merely tolerating me. It's weird in a way. She did do a great job with my surgery, but her bedside manner stinks!
