Dr. Tracy Beth Ravin, MD

I wanted an real eye doctor with a M.D. not an optometrist , an O.D., that never went to medical school and can’t do surgery. Dr. Ravin is patient, kind, and explains things clearly. She did her residency at Bascom Palmer which is consistently rated as the best eye surgery residency in the U.S. She did cataract surgery on my neighbor and he was over the moon happy. Five stars.

I waited for over a month for an appointment. Her office made sure they had my insurance information, sent me confirmation of the appointment, but they did not let me know they had no authorization code for the visit. So, when I went to the appointment, I was not allowed to see the doctor. There are very good reasons why doctors and the medical system have an increasingly bad reputation. When they aren't narcissists, they're money hungry and only concerned about the bottom line, their pocketbook. Their patients so called "healthcare" consistently comes last. The mediocrity of her staff cannot be overstated. Definitely not recommended.

I am not blind because Dr. Ravin saved my eyesight! One year ago exactly, I was told I was going to lose my sight. Dr. Ravin was tenacious in my care and was constantly thinking out of the box. She never gave up on me or wrote me off. She personally would call me, had me come in to the office on Christmas Eve, New Years Day, after hours, she made herself available at all times. Who does that? Dr. Ravin that is who!!! One of her many great attributes is she reached out to all her associates and got them involve in my care, and they all were so concern about me! I am sobbing right now because I am writing this without glasses on, that is so amazing. Everyone was wonderful, front desk, check out, medical assistants, billing (yes even billing who were willing to work with my bill!). THANK YOU ALL! Happy New Year 2021, it will be for me because I could SEE.

Wait time is excessive but no other issues.

I liked Dr. Ravin. She explained things very well and also listened to my concerns with my eyes.
