I will not be going back to this dentist. I have OHP and had no trouble getting in. The problem was, the procedure hurt. I assumed by voicing my discomfort he would offer more anesthetic, instead he switched tools, which also caused pain. After voicing my pain 3 times, he said to his assistant, "lets just fill it". I got the impression he was annoyed that I was in pain and just wanted to get it over with. I was told by another dental office that the 2 cavities were quite large, so it worries me that it took Dr. Stansbury about 5 whole minutes to fix both cavities.

I was in a lot of pain throughout the procedure, the dentist didn't believe me or try to alleviate my pain besides the initial shot, even though it didn't work. My filling started falling out soon after I left. Dentist says it's my fault for pretending to be in pain. I have had several fillings before, with different dentists, never before has it been painful. Also, it's very difficult to get an appointment if you're on OHP. I was put on a waiting list for months. Other patients with private insurance were seen within days. I do not recommend this dentist to anyone. The low-income walk-in clinic is better.
