I went in for a spot on my gums that was giving me a bit of trouble. After being in the office for about 10 mins, not even having to meet the dentist, I was out and feeling better already. I was advised that I needed a more in-depth cleaning, and got this scheduled for a few weeks out. However, when I got up to pay and realized that it was almost $90, I was very displeased. I asked why it was so high, and they said something about my insurance having a deductible and blah, blah. Having not used my dental insurance before, I had no way of arguing, because I truly didn't know, so I paid it. I received a call back about 5 mins after I left letting me know that they did in fact over charge me, and that I would have a credit on my account for $65. I said okay, because I was going to be going back anyways. However, after talking to a hygienist friend of mine, I realized I did not need this "gum cleaning". I called the next day and told them I would need to cancel my appointment and would… like to be given my money back that they charged me. I was told by the young lady that answered the phone that it could take UP TO FOUR WEEKS to get a check sent to me, and asked if that was okay. NO, not okay! I was NOT happy! I requested the office manager call me. She did, and I felt a little better after talking to her. She told me that was not the case. She would email the corporate office and have the money put back on my card, and if it was not there within 24 hours to call back. This was a Thursday afternoon. I didn't call on Friday, but called the following Monday afternoon to check on my refund. I was then told BY THE SAME OFFICE MANAGER I HAD SPOKEN WITH, that my refund CHECK should come to me within a week. I expressed that this $65 was needed sooner than a week and that I had been flat out lied to when she talked to me before. So now I am out $65 until God only knows when, because I was given 3 different time frames, and frankly, I don't believe a word they say. I will NEVER go back to this office and will tell anyone what happened. They need to get their billing/refunds together. I am an accountant, have done it for many years, and I KNOW it does not take that long to get a check to someone. I also know that cards CAN and SHOULD be refunded when it was 100% their fault. Poor Business! Poor management! Poor knowledge of their procedures. Absolutely AWFUL!

I highly recommend Dr. Windham to everyone! I have been a pt here for nearly 6 years and my experience is always positive. The best staff around!

Everyone in Dr. Windham's office is fabulous. I had not been to a dentist in years because of bad experiances. I knew I need to go and was starting to have some twinges of pain when I heard his ad on the radio. He put me at ease across the airwaves and I have never looked back. I go at least every six months now and don't mind at all. They have never talked down to me because of my fears. They only ask that I take care of my teeth and help me to find the best way for me to do that.
