I went to the Methodist ER center on SW Frwy near Kirby with intense lower back and bladder pain. I had been treated about two months before for a UTI (got Macrodantin) by my GP and afterward, by a homeopath with homeopathy. The pain that woke me up was unexpected and so bad, I almost called an ambulance. By the time I got to the ER center, it was at childbirth-level and I thought I was going to pass out. Dr. Tran had just relieved the doctor that initially saw me. She was cold and made me feel like I was a bother. When I told her I had been under the care of a homeopath, her attitude became downright hostile. She was so rude, in fact, that I asked the nurse to please ask her to come back in. When she did, I tried to explain to her that I turned to a homeopath to help me get out of autoimmunity, not because I had given up on traditional AMA medicine but because traditional AMA medicine had given up on ME. She snapped: what do you want from me right now? I said: I want you… to let me explain why I turned to homeopathy. And, let's give him his due, he has actually pulled me out of autoimmunity when the regular docs said it was incurable! She stood there, glaring until I finished, then she said: I don't know anything about that. And she opened the door and walked out. When she came back with some RXs, I tried to end our time on a lighter note. I smiled and told her that the last time I had had such severe pain, I went home with a bouncing baby boy. Instead of a smile back, she gave me a curt: Yeah, well that's what happens when you don't take care of a UTI. Never again.

I saw her for a total of maybe 8 minutes. Went in for a REALLY bad case of strep. Pus pockets everywhere and I could barely breathe, but style I was able to swallow, painfully like I was swallowing razor blades, she thought it be ok. Shot of penicillin follow up with an ENT. I haven't had strep for 19 years why would I need to follow up with an ENT? At one point she seemed like she want quite sure what she was going to do and yes, like the other patient started, she seemed rushed. There were 3 patients the. Dr. Tran was cold, did not welcome questions, made us feel rushed, made us feel our questions were unimportant, and overall, not a good bedside manner. It might have been different if the ER was full or at least busy, but we appeared to be the only ones there.
