Dr. Trang Tuquynh Vuong, MD

Not open to new research that contradicts her and not open to listening to me when I pointed out her dismissivenes. She incorrectly assumed pain and signs and symptoms that she were not knowkedgeable about were just psychological. Not up to date on latest research that shows hypertension is associated with renal cysts and that cognitive impairment from Hashimoto encephalopathy is reversible when treated with steroids. Did not take my copper deficiency seriously and did not address it appropriately; copper deficiency can cause neuropathic pain and imbalance that are reversible if treated properly early. As a knowledgeable patient who researches her own rare conditions, I would not recommend her for someone who is a knowlegeble patient with rare medical conditions. If you are one of these patients and stand up for yourself when she gets dismissive, watch out for retaliation. She got mad when I shared with her how she treated me dismissively: She overreacted by cancelling appointments… and discharging me without the courage to discuss how she may improve. That is a red flag to patients with rare diseases.

I am a patient with a multitude of strange health issues including fibromyalgia. She doesn't blow off my weird symptoms and tries to find solutions. She takes her work very seriously and has a humorous side as well. She is not near where I live, but certainly worth the drive! If you are looking for a good internist - look no further!

Dr. Vuong is a very compassionate doctor. My husband and I are patients of hers. She makes us feel important, always talking and evaluating us with concern. I've never felt like a number called in and out patient at this office. Staff is extremely nice.

Dr. Vuong is caring, compassionate and always takes the time to listen to health concerns as well as promptly getting to the root of the medical issue and finding the right specialist if needed. I see her at least 8x per year for many years now and would not see anyone else. She is there for her patients 100%.

I've been seeing Dr Vuong for several years. I went to her after my last GP told me that she was giving up on me. Dr Vuong was happy to take me on with my extensive, complicated, and somewhat mysterious medical issues. "You're weird," she tells me, "but I like that. You're interesting!" She is casual, straightforward, very friendly. She will do whatever it takes to understand your problems and see that they are addressed. She is not afraid to treat pain aggressively, unlike so many other doctors around here. She will trust you but she will also keep on you to hold up your end of the bargain. She is an all around great doctor and I would recommend her to anyone.
