Dr. Travis Neal Calhoun, MD

I have been most fortunate to have Dr. Travis Calhoun and Dr. Pam Koob. They work great together. If I needed to be seen on short notice and Dr. Calhoun could not work me in, Pam Koob would see me. If needed, she would consult with Dr. Calhoun. He is a caring, knowledgeable, best of the best. RIP Pam Koob. I will never find another doctor to fill his shoes.

Excellent doctor who actually cares about people on an individual basis. He took me in as a new patient when I could get no answers from every specialist in Nashville. Very knowledgable about my multiple diagnosises and it would be a tremendous loss to me and my health if I didn't have him !

Dr. Calhoun has lost his compassinate bedside manner. He is only in his office one day a week. If needed for medical assistance he is unatinable. Recently I had tests run by his assistant Pam Koob, upon the return of the tests she was not able to interpret the results in a accurate manner, avoided my concern, would not return my calls for information. When requesting to contact dr. Calhoun for appropriate interpretations the ofice staff stated he was not to be contacted while out of the office. I went for approximatley 3 weeks with out further follow up to my medical condition. Finally after repeated calls I could only speak through a secutary for minimual results. In my opinion if Dr. Calhoun has no reguards for his patients concerns welfaire or expected medical advice, He needs to re-evaluate his medical profession and personal agenda. Patients have a right to be medically advised by the Dr. not a secutary which has no medical knoweledge. In the past Dr, calhoun has left his… profession in attempts to gain policitical office, leaving his patients to find other means of medical treatments. upon not suceeding he attempted to reopen is medical practice, this time only to be partly available to his patients. I find Dr. Calhoun in my opinion a part time Dr. Who has now became focused only on his personal needs rather than the patients.

The best diagnostician from LLV to Nashville bar none. Excellent bedside manner, kind, compassionate. Need more like him.

I have had medical problems of many kinds since I was 10 years old (over 30 years ago). I have seen more doctors than probably any 20 (or more) people. So I know good doctors from bad (both in their knowledge and bedside manners). Dr. Calhoun is by far the most knowledgable doctor I have ever seen. People are always impressed by specialists and think "they must know so much" when truly it's your family doctor or internist who is the most knowledgable. I've seen specialists who know a great deal about their specialty but knows less about general "body knowledge" than the average lay person. Whereas these other doctors have to know it all. I've never seen anyone who has such a broad yet in-depth knowledge of each area of medicine as Dr. Calhoun. I'm a fairly well educated lay person but no matter how obscure something is I come up with in looking for possible reasons for a problem I may be having he already knows the whole story and more. I know this sounds like a commercial but it's… not. It's just I know doctors and I thank God in my daily prayers (literally) that I've been blessed enough to find such a knowledgable doctor in my small town especially given the range and seriousness of my problems.
