Dr. Travis Joe Small, DO

I feel that to give a good review or a bad one? You need to see how good of a job you got four or five years down the line. I'm Charles Daugherty. March 25th of 2019 I received a full knee replacement with the titanium knee. Dr Travis did the surgery and if I'm correct he had only had a few years experience under his belt at that time. My knee healed great. I had friends who told me time and time again that it was going to be a horrific experience for me. I was going to have to have it done more than once. It wasn't like that. The was pain wasn't at all that bad, I've experienced more pain right now in my life with other broken body parts than I did after his surgery. I was able to do a full 120° extension of my knee if I didn't have other problems like my back right now after having an auger accident. I could probably run. I walked almost 30 miles one day. Because I missed the bus try to get back from the VA. And didn't want to bug anybody so I walked most of the way home to Sand… springs. I feel that the Doc. Did an excellent job.. Doc. The knee is kicking @$$. 4 years later.

5 Stars for Dr. Small. He exceeded all of my expectations for exceptional care before, during and following my recent knee replacement surgery. Dr. Small is a skilled surgeon who is thorough, competent, compassionate, and genuinely invested in the best outcome for his patients. My surgery went well and my recovery progressed beautifully. I highly recommend Dr. Small to anyone considering knee surgery.

Dr. Small is not only a wonderful surgeon, he is a gentle, caring man. He accepted my case after I had been turned down by several other surgeons in the area. I had a severely botched knee replacement by a knee surgeon who subsequently moved to another State. Dr. Small went the extra mile to ensure that both my legs wound up the same length. this was not presented to me as an option by the previous surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone who needed a talented, personable orthopedic surgeon. Thank you Dr. Small for your expertise!

Dr. Small was very informative about the direct anterior approach of my Total Hip Arthroplasty. Recovery time was, I felt, fairly speedy and not as much pain as I expected. I would highly recommend Dr. Small for this surgery

Dr. Travis small performed an anterior hip replacement on my 75 year old father. He was up and walking the same day! I brought him home the very next day. He experienced no excessive pain or stress and is walking better than he has in years! Thank you Dr. Small!

Dr Small is a great doctor and his staff is also great, especially his assistant Dale. He is successfully treating my excruciating knee pain without jumping right into surgery. When I do have to make that jump, I will feel comfortable with the descision and the Dr.

Dr. Small performed an anterior hip replacement on me 6 days ago. I was up walking that day and, since post-op day 1, have not needed any assist device. I managed pain with Tylenol, Advil and ice. Since day 4, I have been out walking in the neighborhood, out to eat and to church, and expect to be back to work this week. I would highly recommend Dr. Small; he is an excellent surgeon (Fellowship-trained in this procedure), very kind, personable and patient focused. I have been very pleased!
