Dr. Walters was born in Birmingham, AL.. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree from Vanderbilt University in 1995 and was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Medical Degree from Vanderbilt in 1999 and completed his pediatric residency at Vanderbilt in June 2002.
He is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a member of the Clinical Faculty at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and takes an active role in the education of the pediatric residents. In addition, he also serves on several committees as an advocate for the health and well being of children. Dr. Walters was chosen as Nashville's Best Pediatrician in the 2010 and 2011 Nashville Scene's Best of Nashville Reader's Poll.
Dr. Walters joined Green Hills Pediatric Associates in July 2002. His interests outside the office include golfing, being an active member of his church, and spending time with his family. He and his wife Rebecca have three …daughters.
