Dr. Tricia T Tran

Born into a family where both parents were dentists, Dr. Tricia Tran has also decided to pursue dentistry as a lifetime profession.  Dr. Tran has received her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree with Magna Cum Laude and University Honors from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.  She then obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree with Magna Cum Laude from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry.
During her studies at the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Tricia Tran received numerous prestigious awards including the Pierre Fauchard Research Award, First Place in Research from Densply International, the Senior Award of Excellence from the American Academy of Periodontology, the Senior Award from Dentistry Prosthodontics and a Research Fellowship at the National Institute of Dental Craniofacial Research at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. 
Dr. Tran went on to complete her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at …Temple University Children's Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Upon completion, she received the "Clinician Award" in recognition of her significant contributions to the program.  
In pursuits of excellence in pediatric dental care, Dr. Tran also voluntarily  completed rigorous requirements to become a Diplomate for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.  Dr. Tricia Tran remains to be one of the very few Board certified pediatric dentists in Fairfax County, Virginia.  Recently, she was selected to serve on the Board of Directors of the College of Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society.  She is also currently an active Fellow Member of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Tran, her husband and her two sons are living in Fairfax Station, Virginia.  She enjoys movies, volleyball, tennis and fundraising for local organizations.  Dr. Tran also volunteers at Give-Kids-a-Smile in Springfield, VA where she provides pro-bono dental services to many under-priviledged children.  Dr. Tran is a great believer in giving back to the communities, she holds an annual "Lend a Hand" day at her clinic in December to provide free dental treatments for children of low income families.  Dr. Tran also sponsors many children and local schools for their various children's activities.  Each February, Dr. Tran and staff provide dental education to local children at Union Mill Elementary school, London Towne Elementary school, Eagle View Elementary school, KinderCare Learning Centers, etc.  She volunteers to judge projects submitted by high schoolers for the Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair.
