Dr. Trina Elena Espinola, MD

Went to Dr. Espinola to continue allergy shots that I was receiving from a previous ENT. I found her to be rude and cold from the start but I thought it wasn't a big deal since I would just be getting shots and those are usually done by a nurse. But on my first visit she did a scoping procedure and said she found a growth on my larynx that might be cancer and that I needed surgery to remove it because that was the only way to find out if it was. Since I needed surgery I decided to check reviews on her and I'm glad I did. There are even worse ones on other sites talking about her terrible bedside manner, how she aggressively pushes for surgery often when it's not even necessary, the problems she causes during surgery that require more surgeries to fix, and her dishonest billing practices. Because of this I decided to find another doctor and surprise surprise, he did the same scoping procedure on me and said I did not need surgery because he found NO growth. He checked not just my… larynx where Dr. Espinola said she found a growth but the whole ear, nose, and throat area and found nothing! A reminder to always get a second opinion and a warning to avoid this doctor.

We arrived for our appointment, but the staff (the OFFICE MANAGER in particular) were so horribly rude, we didn't even stick around to see the doctor. If the staff is that uncaring and uncompassionate, I can only imagine how bad the doctor is who allows staff to treat patients in this manner. Seeing all the poor reviews for her, we dodged a bullet.

My husband has been a patient for 5 years. He was diagnosed with stage one laryngeal cancer. Dr. Espinola performed surgery and has been with us every step of the way. She and her staff provide professional and compassionate care. They all have made us feel comfortable and well cared for. I've gone to every appointment with my husband and have always been warmly welcomed! Today marked 5 years since the diagnosis and now my husband will return once a year. We highly recommend Dr. Espinola and her team!

After the experience making an appointment and the reviews on here I’m going to skip her. Rude secretary, makes you feel guilty for asking for an appointment. I finally made an appointment but I’m going to find me a 4.00 plus rating Doctor not a bad rating doctor.

Waited until 12:05PM for a 10AM appt. Dr. never showed up. Office staff could not have cared less. Complete disregard for their patients' time.

Awesome Doctor, Great Sense of Humor

My husband has been under Dr. Espinola's care for over a year now. He has always been warmly greeted, well informed and very well taken care of. I have been encouraged from the start of treatment and post operative care to attend each visit. Dr. Espinola, her PA and office staff are professional and friendly. My husband will have follow up visits for the next few years, and we are grateful that Dr. Espinola is our team leader!

Was not told that physicians assistant would be seen. She was very arrogant. She resented the fact that I answered questions for my husband who has trouble remembering anything medical and requests me to be there. She doesn't appear to like you to question her decisions or interrupt with relevant extenuating circumstances. She had no knowledge of my backround or level of education. She was very demeaning. Staff also took lab reports supplied by us and threw them in the trash. When requested to have them returned, they were retrieved from the trash along with other patient's papers.

Besides this doctor being very rude, uncaring, and inconsiderate, I contracted the H1N1 flu virus at this doctors office that nearly put me in the grave. six months later and I am still so sick from the flu that I can barely function. I still feel very weak and have severe breathing difficulties. There was a strange smell in exam room that made me cough and my complaints only irritated this doctor and her assistant, who just wanted to sell me some $6,000.00 hearing aids that I could not afford. This place is horrible. Not a genuine caring Doctors office in any way. I would never go back.

This doctor acts like a robot. No eye contact. No smile. No conversation. Just pay her and get nothing in return. I say go work on an assembly line if you have zero personality. I only went one time and never returned. There are much better ENT Doctors out there then this. Also, her Staff are all rude and mean. What a complete waste of effort, money, and time on my part. Thanks for nothing.
