Techniques and materials in dentistry are advancing at a rapid rate, just like in other medical fields. It is of course important to keep pace with the changes, both for my own advancement, but also for the care I give my patients. That is why I am a proud member of both the internationally renown Seattle Study Club and our own local City of Lakes Study Club.
The Seattle Study Club

The Seattle Study Club (SSC) is attended by some of the world's finest …dentists. It publishes a journal of new work and findings that is hard not to read cover to cover. It also puts a great deal of work and findings on their website for members to learn from. Through the SSC journal and website, I am able to learn about advancements in dentistry almost as they happen.
The SSC Symposium
Dr. Meysman goes to The SSC Symposium from Minneapolis Minnesota held this year in California
SSC also holds a week long, international symposium once a year that is attended by over 1000 dentists from around the world. At each symposium, we learn from lectures that go from 7am to 5pm each session day. I always come back from these incredible meetings with renewed excitment in my field, and satisfied that I am doing my best to keep my dental knowledge and skills at a high level.
The City of Lakes Study Club
Dr. Meysman is a member of The City of Lakes Study Club in Minneapolis Minnesota
The City of Lakes Study Club is our local affiliate of the SSC. It is at this club where we put into practice the philosophy of the SSC, which is to exchange ideas, techniques and information at the local level.

National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped
Dr. Meysman is a member of the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped in Minneapolis Minnesota
I am also a proud member of the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped. In this extraordinary organization, I participate in the Donated Dental Services (DDS) program, in which many thousands of dentists and thousands of dental labs donate their skills and material costs to individual cases that require a long term committment. This program selects applicants for needed, extensive dental treatments they would otherwise have to go without. All costs are donated by the volunteering members.
Project Homeless
Dr. Meysman is a member of Project Homeless in Minneapolis Minnesota
Minneapolis has another great program called Project Homeless that I and my staff volunteer for each year. During these sessions we see literally hundreds of people who cannot afford dental care, including many children, and take care of immediate dental needs, as well as general dental hygiene.
