Dr. Trisha R Summerlin, MD

Dr. Summerlin demonstrated superb expertise in rehabilitation medicine. She has the knowledge and compassion to assist patients in achieving the best possible recovery and rehabilitation.

Dr. Summerlin is an exceptionally talented physician who recognizes the actual events and concerns. Coming back from a life-changing accident, Dr. Summerlin offered a course to recovery that I do not think I could have achieved without her support and her team's support.

Avoid Dr. Summerlin if possible. Rude to patients and family. Withholds information to family unless provoked.

The absolute most horrible, unprofessional, vile woman I have ever met. She walked in like she owned the place and proceeded to tell me that my neurologist, who's treated me for years, was wrong and she was right, turns out she never even checked with him before seeing me. She continued insulting me and trying to get a reaction from me. She was the same way the entire time I was in her care, and everyone noticed. My family dislikes her, and the staff as well, I hope she's embarrassed. Don't go here expecting anything positive from her.

This person is in charge of the physical rehab department in the hospital and should not be allowed to work around human beings period! In the past year two of my family members have had to be placed in her care on that floor at the hospital that were both treated horribly by this person. My mother was spoken to so cruel by this person and brought to tears a long with my father who was standing in the room during her last hours alive. After my mothers funeral my uncle even knew this person's name because of the horrible experience he and my aunt also had with this person before she also passed just a few months prior to my mother. We complained to my mothers primary doctor whom said it was a well known fact through out the hospital that this person had terrible bedside manners.

I found Dr. Summerlin's care to be ill-informed. She would not listen to what my father's Primary Care Doctor said (Plus other doctor's who had treated him for years). When I called to inquiry as to the necessity of a medicine that was going to cost $25.00 a day, her comment was "this man will be dead in 6 months". While true, it was completely inappropriate to make this comment to anyone in this manner, let alone the patient's daughter.
