Dr. Akers saved my daughter's life. She was having an allergic reaction to something she ate and Dr. Akers gave her the medicine she needed to get her breathing again. Thank you Dr. Akers!

I was in a horrible accident caused by an out of control 18 wheeler and came in the ER dying. Dr. Akers saved my life! My family and I are so thankful for this amazing doctor!

Dr. Akers saved my life! He explained everything that was going on with me and kept my family informed the entire time. I can't thank him enough.

I would have left zero if it were up to me. This so called Dr. was crass and had TERRIBLE bed side manner! Had the biggest EGO I have ever seen in a Dr. Was wrong about diagnosis and could have cost a life! He was too busy trying to look buff then looking into what was wrong. Overheard him speaking to another colleague about me. Just terrible all around! I feel bad for anyone going to the ER at Augusta University because if they get this guy they won’t be leaving too happy and maybe eben worse than that! He needs to seek another profession!

This was supposed to be my doctor in the emergency room but I may have spoke to him all of 45 seconds. He told me he thinks that the problem was 2 small bones in the bottom of my foot and I was getting an x ray. Never took a look at my foot didn't even feel or examine it. The nurse came with the results and I was told everything was fine. Doctor Akers didn't review the x rays with me or bother to come back by and tell me anything. I received an outrageous emergency physician statement for emergency evaluation and management services and he did absolutely nothing. The x Ray tech spent more time with me and that bill was only 50 bucks. I would feel better about paying installments on this bill if I had at least seen the x rays and he reviewed them with me. I feel like since I was uninsured they didn't want to give me the appropriate teatment I needed. He should be investigated because this visit was not worth the bill.
