If i can give 0 stars i would, i had an awful experience with eckman i had to undergo an emergency C-section feb 2023 and he was the doctor on the floor that night and i felt like i was being butchered! he was very rude and inconsiderate to how i was feeling during the procedure, i was torn open even after expressing that i could still feel the test pokes and he got impatient and ripped me open, i was given the incorrect dosage of anesthesia and that was aware of and i could feel the entire C-Section procedure from tools , hands , staples etc i felt it all, i was screaming in pain and i was made to feel like i didnt matter. i had complications during the procedure and when it was time for the stitches they were rushed.. i had gotten an infection from the sutures weeks later. this was my first C-section and this doctor ruined my thoughts of wanting anymore children based on how i was handled, never again will i want eckman to be my doctor in any way. be careful.

I had a total hysterectomy by Dr Exkman over 15 years ago. At the time of my consult he tole. Y husband and I The he would have a “15yr old” when he was done. I done know about being 15 but I do know everwas ruined from that day on. At check ups he told me there was nothing wrong. I went to another on/gyne who had to order pediatric dialators for me to use to try to stretch things. They did not work. For 15 years I have not been able to have intercourse without pain and have not had an organism since the surgery. My husband has been very understanding, but I am about to loose him and someday I might want to see another man, that will not be possible thanks to Dr Eckman. Just be careful!

When I found out I was pregnant I was hesitant to use his office because of the bad reviews I had read but since he was the only OB in town I decided to give it a try and see what I thought after I actually tried it out myself. First visit was great! I actually saw a midwife not the dr but everyone in the office was kind and knowledgeable. I met Dr. Eckman my second visit and while he is a bit all over the place he knew my health history without looking at my chart in front of me and was very helpful with questions and referral appointments needed. Yes he is the only OB in town but even if he wasn't I would use him and his office again.

I have seen the Doctor twice....both times HORRID! I was half way undressed and he stayed in the room chatting saying "he didn't want to work today" for almost an hour. The chatting was not about me or my pregnancy but about HIM! Second experience was he said he had heard the heart beat but was frustrated that I didn't hear it. He did not take the time for me to hear it....saying he had heard it for about ten seconds and thats what mattered. Sad that he is the ONLY delivery doctor in town! I am going out of town for my delivery!!!

Doctor Eckman bills himself as a high risk doctor, yet when you visit his office for a high rosk pregnancy, you see everyone but him. They do not follow up like they should and when you call in with a problem, they tend to blow you off. Unfortunately the blowing off at times leads to a tragic result. Cocky, arogant doctors are a disgrace to the medical profession. If only one good high risk doctor would come to town, I know doctor eckman would be on the loosing end of the competition. I am personally going to throw all the resources I have into recruiting a doctor Macomb deserves.

I am not one of his patients, but he delivered my baby. He is a religious man, and his religious beliefs seem to influence his work (in a way that I, personally, don't like). I feel as though he rushed sewing up my stitches after giving birth (and having a second degree tear). I think he sewed my vagina up WRONG and I have been in pain since.
