Dr. Troy Dale Foster, DO

I went to see Dr. Forster because of lumbar spine pain, he then asked me to get an x ray and follow up with an MRI to confirm what he thought my condition was. During our first visit I asked several questions and in the middle of our conversation he said to me "you are a like a child in the backseat of the car that keeps asking are we there yet", regarding my questions. I sorda laughed it off and explained I was a nurse. For my follow up visit, I was very nervous because the MRI prognosis wasn't great ( I knew that because I read the MRI report prior to the visit and came prepared with questions. This time I brought my husband with me for emotional support. During our conversation, when I tried to ask a question he interrupted me and said rudely "excuse me, let me finish!". At that point after 2 very disrespectful comments I wasn't happy but politely let the MAN finish talking. He explains my one option and when I went to ask further questions about risks etc, he said to me "you are… like a med student wanting to understand, why and how things work but the problem is you really need to be an expert and some schooling to ask these questions". I was pissed, I couldn't believe a doctor I hired, I am paying had the audacity to speak to a patient this way, especially after giving her really bad news. I am nurse, further more I have my Bachelors degree in nursing. As a nurse I I would never dream to ever speak to a human the way this man spoke to me, his patient. I will never go back to this doctor to listen to his medical opinions. It is unfortunate when you think you are going into to receive healthcare advise/health, guidance and you go in to get verbally insulted and abused by a medical practitioner. I don't recommend this doctor. And always remember you have the right to advocate for yourself! We all deserve respect.

I was looking forward to a productive visit with Dr. Foster but was sadly disappointed. I found him arrogant, ageist, and not a good listener. He made many ungrounded assumptions and was much more interested in making dire predictions about my circumstances (I don't even have a diagnosis, and he wasn't able to come up with one) than in trying to be helpful. I had to drive 6 hours to see him, and the appointment was, at the least, a total waste of time. I recommend others find a doctor who'll listen to the patient and who has the engagement and curiosity to try to find a way to be helpful.

Dr. Troy is a warm, caring doctor who really knows his stuff.

I have been going to Dr. Foster for two an half years. As far as I’m concerned he is a top notch doctor. He has given me injections in my back for my back and symptoms of static nerve, which has been very helpful. I’m Blessed to have him as my Doctor. Thank You, Sharon Walker

He has been very good and prompt with the information regarding care. Great bedside manner and down to earth. I enjoy his staff. Very helpful.

He has such a great attitude and explains everything so I can better understand it. He has helped my back pain where I am able to live again. His nurse always has that smile so you know they have a great relationship makes it all better.
