Dr. Troy C. Gingerich, MD

Dr Gingerich is hands down the absolute best Dr I’ve ever had. He truly cares, always takes the time to listen and understand my concerns, has a great sense of humor and does the least painful injections I’ve ever had (and I have had A LOT). He was by my side thru two back surgeries and a STIM implant, always ensuring I was properly taken care of. I’m so sad and frustrated that SE Pain and Spine is closing its doors at the end of the month. The only plan in place is to transfer me to Atrium Pain Management, but they don’t even have any Drs assigned there yet. I do know for sure Dr G won’t be there and they will not release any info about where he’s going until AFTER SE Pain closes. I didn’t even get a letter about this until yesterday, and the letter from Atrium is dated 3/14. I got the run around from the offices for weeks, trying to make an appt (I can’t see their PAs, and they only had appts with them) and ended up having to transfer providers. Now I have to start all over, and… rebuild a new relationship with another provider. For anyone that’s ever been in pain management, this is so scary. After 7 faithful years with this practice, I’m more than unhappy this is how things panned out. Good luck Dr G, thank you so much. To SE Pain and Spine and Atrium, shame on you. Terrible handling of this situation. You should have had a better plan, and properly notified clients months ago.

Dr. G is the best doctor in my opinion he cares about how your feeling and provides any help he can with other issues with your pain.

I'm pregnant and had a reference from my OB. He listened, let me know the pros and cons of what could be offered and the pros and cons of not doing anything. He helped me understand things the staff was friendly and for my first visit paperwork and talking to 3 different people was in and out in less than an hour . Now we will see if he continues..

I went in for head pain. After 7 months and several series of injections, he said he was treatimg my neck. I had been on disability and they reached out for status and he told them I was fine. I was in bed, in pain 24/7. I asked for him to give me something for the head pain so I could work and he said there isnt anything. He is just out for the money and couldn't care less about his patients

Dr Gingrich is the Best! He listens, he's very professional and he Cares! He recently transferred from the Pain Mgmt office I go to. His "boss" was recommended for me. The worse experience in 15 yrs. If I have to drive 50 miles to see Dr Gingrich I will. It'll be wOrth it. I was told many patients left because he was transferred. That speaks volumns. I can't give a higher recommendation for a physician.

Dr G is the only dr who has been able to help with my chronic pain. He's funny, listens to you and genuinely cares about you. I have given him strict orders that he can't ever leave Southeast pain as long as I'm a patient of his :)

I never had such a bad experience with a pain doctor in all the time I have had to go to one. Dr. Troy Gingrich was hard to get to talk to and so was getting to talk to a nurse or anyone at his office in Monroe NC. He had me on a medication that was causing me very uncomfortable nightsweats, about once a week it was giving me 103 temptures and causing my heart to race 125 during the fevers. It also made me nauseous all the time. For 5 months I told him it was doing that. He told me he was not changing the medication. The fevers were getting worse. I actually went to infectious disease because I thought it was a disease because Dr. Gingrich kept telliing me it was not the Opana. The infectious disease Doctor did ever test and determined it was the medication Dr. gingrich was giving me and finally he took me off it but gave me something so weak it did not help. I called for a week trying to get someone to call back but they would not so I went to office and got dirty looks from staff.… They were so uncaring and treated me like I was a criminal I felt so bad in pain and they made me feel worse. If you want a doctor that really cares and does more then just prescribing narcotics go to DR. Taub on Randolph road charlotte. He can prescribe or he is a Acupuncturist, he can do Prolotherapy and much more. Dr. Taub is a good caring doctor that when you call his office you get to talk to someone not leave a message and hope someone will call back. I would not trust Dr. Gingrich with my cat or anyone in his office. Also because I asked for them to send a letter to the Vererans Admin. so I could get a doctor that would actually help me the office sent the VA and me a letter saying I was unruly because I expected them to take me off a medicine that caused me to have very uncomfortable night sweats and fevers. They are not good people and if you want to save yourself a bad experience do not give Southeast Pain and dr. gingrich your time he will only waste your time and lie about you if you need a letter so you can go someplace else. I suffered for months under this mans care and have documented proof of it and can show anyone !!!

I only been seeing him for several months but I like his approach, his bedside manner, the fact that he sees you as a patient and human not just some notes in the big chart of yours. Like one of the nurses commented: he will not leave the room until the patient is comfortable with the new info and whatever transpired during that appointment, procedures, change in treatment, etc.

Saw Dr Gingerich a few times at Southeast Pain Clinic and each time was in and out of my room in less than 5 minutes. Very unprofessional. Doesn't listen to your concerns. Was just plain rude and uncaring. As a nurse would not recommend!!!

Arrogant, rude, poor bedside manner, over an hour wait
