Dr. Troy B Wiens, DDS

Excellent and knowledgeable!

I have been a patient of Dr. Wiens for 30 years. He is very gentle and explains what he is doing thoroughly. The office is a visually fun and relaxed atmosphere. Dr. Wiens is also great with children.

I have started going to Dr. Wiens for my teeth cleanings and everything else! He has done a fabulous job! I have very high anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist, and I am at ease knowing I will get told the step by step process. He’s prices are VERY reasonable and one of the best in McPherson! He even accepted payments which is great with everything going on!

Daughters teeth needed braces and we were new in town. She is now in college and braces are being applied again by a different dentist to correct Dr Weins initial attempt. He expected full payment up front before work was performed. I have had to have two caps replace less than 5 from Weins initial installation.

I have been a patient since 2012. The staff are friendly and I've received great care every time I've been seen. I have also been doing the Invisalign treatment and am very pleased with the results. I would recommend this office for your dental care.

I would not recommend getting braces from Dr. Wiens. After wearing braces for 5 years, my teeth still weren't completely straight when they came off. As an adult, I am getting braces again to finally fix what Dr. Wiens couldn't. During my treatment, Dr. Wiens advised pulling a tooth rather than making space to fit it in (my teeth were very crowded). I was informed there would be no consequences of pulling the tooth, and that it would speed up my treatment time. Now, years later, several orthodontists have told me that I will need braces again and an implant if I want to correct my bite (I have an overjet). Do not waste your time and money on Dr. Wiens. Take your child to a real orthodontist -- it will pay off in the end.
