Dr. Trudy Reid Baker, MD

Dr Baker and the rest of her staff are exceptional. Nurse Katie needs to use professional curtesy. The telephone calls need to be recorded for review by Dr. Baker, and used for supporting professional curtesy. Katie can not let a controversial conversation be done. She has the need to bring it into ever conversation there after. But we trusted Dr Bakers professional knowledge to continue with her even though Katie does not use professional curtesy.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bakers for about 15 years she has always been kind and understanding. She gives excellent advice and helps you through the most difficult time.

I have been Dr. Baker's patient for over 30 years. I have received excellent care and all my concerns have always been thoroughly addressed.

Total hysterectomy to save my life was great- however I developed three large hernias due to the first surgery.

does not like questions. my appointments last about 5 minutes. very poor beside manor which is ok but doesn't give you time to ask questions and when you have concerns she will say she is not concerned before you even finish your question , she never even came to see me after my surgery and I was sent home with no post op instructions when I called her with concerns she seemed annoyed. I've had a lot of problems since my surgery. wish I had done a little my research before surgery

Dr Baker has no bedside manner or compassion. Because of her, someone very close to me was recently diagnosed with stage 3 cancer ONE YEAR after Dr Baker first saw her for her condition. Dr Baker failed to follow up with recommendations from this patient's primary care doctor (such as a biopsy). When this patient finally had surgery, Dr Baker treated everything with a disturbing amount of nonchalance. If I could rate her a 0, I would. Please don't go to Dr Baker for anything potentially life threatening.

Dr. Baker may not have the best bedside manner but she's an expert in her field. I was a mess during my first appointment and I can tell she doesn't handle tears very well. However, in all subsequent appointments and surgeries she was nothing but compassionate and empathetic. She's the only doctor I would trust to walk me through my current medical ailments.

After the initial shock of hearing one has to go through both chemo and radiation has worn off, the calmness that I feel during my monthly pre-chemo appointments has continued. Dr. Baker and staff have done so much to help alleviate my fears and concerns. I can't think of another doctor that I would want to see me through this phase of my life. I feel cared for and cared about and that is important.

A recent visit brought me a great deal of pain with no compassion at all. I thought that dealing with a female doctor there would be more compassion or feeling - nothing - like dealing with a void in space. I realize that any doctor dealing with a cancer patient faces the prospect of losing a patient; but with the support and compassion of a caring doctor that patient may live a much longer, happier life.
