From the receptionist to The Dr. RUDE! I felt like a burden! Thank God I didn't really have anything major going on with my kidneys or BP this visit. I was just there as a routine once a year visit. I have been here to this location three times and each time it has been getting worse with the attitudes starting with the receptionist who is just plan RUDE! (no other way to describe her) . I was so distracted by the attitudes during this visit I completely forgot to get a refill on my bp meds come to think about it Dr didn't even ask ??? What questions I did have Dr was very dismissive and tried to make me feel dumb for asking questions and I was advised to tell her by another Dr about a problem I was having. Maybe it was a bad day I kept saying to myself ! I want to say the NURSE WAS VERY NICE and THE LAB TECH WAS AWESOME!

Have been Dr Rickman's patient for over 10 years now. Don't understand the negative reviews posted here as I have never experienced any of these. Expertly treats my conditions and gets results, easy to work with, always responsive to inquiries, friendly and most trusted physician.

I don't know what is wrong with this doctor appear to be very arrogant and uncaring .

Dr. Rickman is absolutely the most arrogant, condescending, uncaring medical professional I have ever dealt with. Refused to listen to my concerns about symptoms insisting that there was nothing wrong with me because my labs were fine. Didnâ??t take my concerns about side effects of the medications she prescribed seriously. Constantly interrupted and talked down to me and got impatient whenever I asked questions and defensive if I ever questioned her judgment. That is when she wasn't too preoccupied with the laptop computer she brings into the exam room to even listen to me.

Was referred to this Nephrologist after a renal Transplant at VA Transplant center. The biggest problem I had has was with them calling in my prescription refills. My pharmacist would request a refill or a prior authorization and they would never respond, so my pharmacist would ask me to call the doctor myself. So I would call Rickman's office and they usually insisted that they had already sent a refill when they clearly hadn't or blame the pharmacist. Finally I got so outdone with them once that I asked to speak directly to Dr. Rickman. I was told "you can't, she is on vacation." I said I want you to page her and have her call me. They told me they couldn't do that because it is not an emergency...well in my book a kidney transplant patient who is out of anti-rejection medication and can't get a refill IS an emergency. I have been receiving Social Security Disability for years due to multiple health problems and I called her office to ask them to fill out forms my… attorney needed for a disability review and was told by a member of her staff "we don't do those, your medical records should speak for themselves" Well maybe so, but when my attorney tells me he needs a signed statement from my physician to support my disability claim I expect the doctor's office to be cooperative. None of my other doctors have ever had a problem completing these for me, only Dr Rickman. I got so tired of dealing with her and her staff that I switched to another Nephrology practice and have been much happier.

when we meet dr. Rickman for the 1st time we felt right at home. she explained everything to us and even more. there should be more specialist like her.

Absolutely the worse MD I have ever been to. Made 4 attempts to contact her by phone after she told me to call her. Office said they would give her message. Once another MD called with completely opposite info. Had 2 office visits and decided I was wasting my money and the insurance company's. I told my internist to stop referring patient's to her. Her staff was unresponsive also. I consulted another nephrologist who said she had ordered unnecessary tests.
