Dr. Tshering Wangdi Sherpa, MD

There is no doubt that Dr. Sherpa doesn't "talk above your head;" however, I accompanied a family member to visits there for over a year, and found the care lacking. The doctor certainly puts patients at ease by presenting a positive, bubbly personality. I have no doubt he is an intelligent and well-educated man. Not once was my family member's complete medication list reviewed - by a nurse or the doctor - at any visit. I didn't even know if it was a licensed nurse or medical assistant that checked his vital signs, as not everyone in the office was wearing identification. When I brought up a significant concern by myself about my family member, it was laughed off and not addressed. Unfortunately, the concern eventually ended up being a huge medical issue. I thought doctors and nurses are supposed to "listen to" family members and take their concerns seriously. I found a new family doctor in another health system and now he receives nothing but excellent care from a professional… and caring staff.

Dr. Sheep's is what kept the practice going after Dr. Courtney semi-retired. Dr. S is very high energy, friendly, doesn't talk over your head, will take time to explain things if you ask, and has a good sense of humor. He is concerned about his patients and what is going on in their lives. I've never had a need for a follow up nor desired one. I am a "I'll call you" type and I believe Dr. S understands that.
