Dr Tsuyoshi Kaneko, MD

A skilled and accomplished surgeon. He performed an extremely difficult procedure with ease. Bedside manner is best I have encountered anywhere.

Dr. Kaneko performed a complicated surgery on me about a year ago. I needed and aortic valve replacement along with an aortic root enlargement. To accomplish this a repair of the mitral valve was necessary as well. i am a cancer survivor who had prior thoracic surgery and radiation which increases the complexity and risk of surgery. Dr Kaneko was wonderful in his bedside manner. I never felt that he was rushing on to the next case--spent as much time as i needed pre-surgery and when seeing me in the hospital post surgery. My surgical outcome was excellent and my regard for Dr. Kaneko is that he is an outstanding surgeon.

I feel strongly my outcome and CABG (triple bypass)performed by Dr. Kaneko at BWH was undoubtedly an issue where the surgical skill was lacking. I have had repeat issues after surgery where individuals don't have post- surgery. I would strongly urge patients NOT to have Dr. Kaneko operate on them and select another Cardiac Surgeon preferably at another Institution. He seems to lack the talent and experience in this procedure. I was pushed into this procedure unnecessarily I believe. I wish I had this procedure done at another hospital maybe out-of-town state where the surgeon is more experienced. Kaneko is my opinion is NOT a good Cardiac Surgeon.
