Dr. Tuan L. Bui, MD

Dr. Bui came highly recommended from one of my massage clients. My client said Dr. Bui went above and beyond to resolve his lower back issues and even referenced him as "the best ortho surgeon in the state". So after battling this crippling pain for the last 5 years, (which resulted from a Crossfit injury) I really thought he'd be the answer to my prayers. Unfortunately, Dr. Bui didn't think I was worthy of his time. He spent approximately 3 minutes with me on my first visit. His opening line was, "Well, you know you're a big girl . . ." And that was followed by him throwing in the towel. He said there was nothing that he could do to help. I basically needed to help myself. I guess I should be thankful that he didn't waste my time like other doctors but it was definitely a waste of 355 deductible dollars. Dr. Bui very well may be the best in the state, but he is NOT fat-friendly. I'm well aware that obesity can cause an awful lot of strain and pressure on the joints. But c'mon now, I… knew I was fat when I left my home that morning, And All issues are not resolved simply by losing weight. Before my injury, I was living my best healthy-fat life, free of diseases and ailments, aches and pains. Any doctor that chooses not to dig deeper is just lazy. I know quite a few "skinny" individuals that have very similar issues as me, and because of how they look, doctors like Bui will jump through hurdles to help them, but not me. So, in conclusion, if you're under 200 lbs, congratulations, you are on your way to feeling like your best self again! But if you're a fatty, do yourself a favor and keep it moving.

My mom, being a Vietnamese, loved to see a Vietnamese doctor for her leg conditions for convenience. After a short assessment, he recommended an ankle strap to help fixing the foot. The outrageous thing was he charged $340 for that simple strap, and the exact same thing sold on Amazon is only $50. (I havent mentioned more than 1k for the short assessment.) The second thing is his prescription. Instead of having prescription sent to a neutral pharmacy, they sent them to a Vietnamese pharmacy. They offered very nice service of sending the medication home at no cost to patients who innocently are very pleased. Even though my mom didn't pay out of pocket for the medication, they claim insurance more than $3000 for medication that they kept sending home monthly. Mom had stopped using the medication after a month without result, but they kept sending the medication and got money from insurance. This is very shady business. Be ware. You may not pay out of your pocket for med, but your… insurance will go up.

Permanent and terribly disturbing nerve damage after surgery. I now have worse pain, constant pain, and permanent pain!!!!! Complete and total surgical failure, but said he thought he could help me! Doesn't treat you with regards to your special needs either in ANY way. Comes across nice at first, but VERY lacking in sharing MRI or x-rays to SHOW you what the heck he has planned!

Great doctor. Very personable and spent time explaining my problem

Dr. Bui is the best! He operated on me and now I am cured! The only regret that I have is that I wished I would have met him earlier.
