Dr. Tuere Abena Franklin, MD

I saw her at Total Access Urgent Care 2 months ago. I was there for low BP from severe dehydration I was having for over a month due to Pneumonia and the flu. This was the 4 or 5th time I needed IV fluids. Per my PCP go to the ER or Urgent Care when fluids needed. The other doctors treated me professionally but not Dr. Franklin. I told her I was taking Benadryl every 4 hours for 12 hours prior to me seeing her. She told me I was overdosing by taking too much. She stated it was every 6 hours. I said the box said every 4-6 hours as needed. I even tried to show her the instructions online but she ignored it and reminded me that she "IS" the doctor not me! Once my vitals were normal again, she stated I needed to be rushed to the ER. I refused. This went in circles for about 30 minutes. She event tried to call an ambulance to take me from the Urgent Care to an ER of her choosing. She kept telling me I was in Adrenal Crisis and I would die in my sleep if I did not go. I refused to go to… the hospital she wanted me to go to.. The one I wanted to go to she kept refusing until she finally gave in after chasing my tail with her. I said I would go home and call my Doctor in the morning whether to go to the ER and again, Dr. Franklin said I would die in my sleep and I needed 100mg of oral steroids which she did not have but was needed to save my life and that I needed to be hospitalized for at least 5 days. When she stepped out of the exam room, I called the exchange for my doctor treating an adrenal condition. The on call doctor assured me I was not in adrenal crisis. I gave my phone to Dr. Franklin to talk with the on call doctor. Dr.. Franklin went over my labs with her and then handed me back the phone. My doctor said to go home. I was not in adrenal crisis. When Dr. Franklin returned she said that she called EMS to take me to the hospital. I advised her what my doctor said and Dr. Franklin said I was confused. I said I would drive myself instead of EMS thinking I would just go home. So, Dr. Franklin had the tech leave the IV in my arm and wrapped several layers of gauze around it to assure I would go to the ER. I was so Mad! At the ER, they couldnt believe Dr. Franklin forced me to go to the ER against my will and upon talking with her, the ER doctor said I was fine and not in adrenal crisis and I was no going to die in my sleep. Dr. Franklin told ther ER doctor I needed 100mg of Oral Steroids STAT. The ER doctor said since my vitals were normal since when I left the Urgent Care, it would be medically insane to administer the medication, doing more harm than good. I was released from the hospital due to the pandemic, the ER doctor said I should not have went to the ER.
