Dr. Tuesday Elizabeth Burns, MD

I can’t say enough to capture how incredible of a doctor she is and how grateful I am to have had her as my psychiatrist. I was going through a very difficult period in my life when I first started seeing her and I was so fortunate to have had Dr. Tuesday as my doctor during this time. She mixed a combination of medication and a big part therapy. The respect for other healing methods, besides medication, in my experience, is hard to find amongst psychiatrists, as some assume that medication alone could solve the emotional distress behind many mental health problems. Her holistic view of who we are as people and her openness to different forms of therapy helped me heal and brought awareness to so many realities of who I am and that have had a big impact on my wellbeing. I worked with her for a year and a half before I left Seattle. She was always punctual. During our work together she was compassionate, supportive, and honest, not letting me overlook when I may be trying to deceive… myself.

Dr. Burns is amazing and has really changed how I view medication for anxiety. My first meeting with her she listened to my background and addressed my concerns about trying out medications. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a Doctor who knows what they are talking about and can find the medication that works best for you.

I saw Dr. Burns when my psychiatrist was unavailable on another assignment. She has a very condescending manner and is cold. She did not offer any medical/psychiatric care, nor communicate her recommendations for care back to my doctor. It was a terrible experience and I would never recommend Dr. Burns to anyone.

I was in treatment with Dr. Burns for several months and felt reassured by her expertise and her compassionate manner of relating. I have recommended several colleagues and friends to her who feel the same!

She has a condescending way of speaking to her patience. Her lack f experience and compassion are really apparent. I could have been expressing myself to a wall.
