Are you ready to be seen? Welcome to Melanin Plus Counseling & Wellness. The world is constantly evolving and can be hard to navigate with life transitions and stress, particularly for men. My goal is to provide services to couples, men, and people of color identifying with various sexual orientations. My expertise includes relationship communication and intimacy, PTSD, and overcoming shame.
I utilize a holistic and systemic approach to working with individuals and relationships who want to enrich their lives. I enjoy guiding and exploring solutions at a client-centered pace using accountability for change. My ability to be culturally sensitive allows others to express themselves openly without judgment. I am extensively trained in communication relationship issues and evidence-based forms of trauma therapy for adults called A.R.T and parts work. We can typically reduce emotional responses and triggers for stress and PTSD symptoms within 3 - 5 sessions.
I value transparency and …accountability to build stronger foundations of communication and understanding. My style is directive and strength-based allowing individuals and relationships to feel supported through growth in a comfortable private safe environment.
