Summary
Dr. Ty Erickson was born in Charleston, South Carolina. With his father in the military, Dr. Erickson traveled extensively when he was young, even living in Alaska for a time. In his travels and schooling, Dr. Erickson learned Spanish as a second language. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Science degree from the University of Illinois in 1989 and his dental degree from the University of Iowa in June of 1995. Upon completing dental school, Dr. Erickson entered the endodontic program at the University of Iowa, and graduated in June, 1998.
Immediately after graduation, he joined Drs. Leuck, Jungmann and Krell at Endodontics, P.C. In 2001, Dr. Erickson became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Erickson lives in West Des Moines with his wife, Kim, and their two children, Ellie and Cole. They attend Sacred Heart Church. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, and is an avid golfer. He once completed root canal therapy on Fuzzy Zeller so that …Mr. Zeller could continue playing golf while in Des Moines.
