I was in the process of consulting with other surgeons for my mommy makeover and was aware of Dr. Frew but was not considering consulting with him because honestly, I thought he looked too young. However I was strongly encouraged to consult with him from a nurse who works with him. She convinced me to be opened minded and see that his younger age was in fact a positive and that he offers cutting edge procedures. She raved about his surgery results and the satisfaction of ALL of his patients. In my consultation, Dr. Frew was extremely detailed about the procedures I was interested in and left no questions about what it would take for my recovery process. I am incredibly grateful for a friend referring me to Dr. Frew. I have had many consultations from La Jolla to Newport Beach in 8 years for a breast lift with implants. I had a friend last year tell me about the internal mesh bra so I was intrigued to find out more about that because not one of the prior surgeons had ever mentioned an internal mesh bra to me with the lift I would need. When I met Dr. Frew, he was easy to talk to about my concerns. I wanted to fill out my breast again and look natural. I was concerned with the fat next to the arm pits, scarring, and a blood clot disorder that I have. I asked Dr. Frew about the internal mesh bra, and he said he was going to recommend that with a lift and explained why. I went home to think about everything and talk about it with my family. When I went back with my husband, I asked Dr. Frew if I could use my bra to try the implants in so I could fill out my bra to get a natural look. He wanted to be sure the bra was not padded and agreed… I could do that. I threw a curve ball at Dr. Frew and asked about liposuction for areas of my stomach and armpit/side boob. After talking that through, we decided to add those procedures too. His staff was extremely helpful with rescheduling the surgery to a few days later since he would need more time for the additional procedures. Day of surgery, I was late, but Dr. Frew and staff were smiling and kind. Dr. Frew did his research on my blood clot disorder and had rechargeable compression wraps for my legs to prevent blood clots ready to go and we talked about the procedures if there were any issues with bleeding, the breast lift and implants would be completed first and everything else might be done another time. I was okay with that and after surgery I opened my eyes and first thing I asked was “were you able to do everything?” Smiling at me he said “Yes!” I went home and Dr. Frew personally called to check on me. Dr. Frew has always been professional, kind, and patient! I had a concern 3-4 weeks after surgery and Dr. Frew again personally reached out to me to make sure I was ok. I am glad I never jumped to do the surgery in the past 8 years because I was meant to find Dr. Frew! I am incredibly happy with my results, and I am grateful for Dr. Frew changing my self-confidence! I am a mom and I now feel great in my body! Thank you to Dr. Frew and his staff!

My appointment was fantastic. Needing a type of surgery that is not common. Dr. Frew was very easy to have a conversation with. I explained what I was wanting to have done, as well as what my expectations were when all of the healing was finished. He answered all my questions. He provided realistic expectations of what my post op would be. I am very thankful for his time, as well as the rest of the staff.

I’ve had the privilege of working side by side with Dr. Frew and I would say he is one of the most thoughtful, careful, and artistic plastic surgeons I’ve met. He has genuine concern for his patient’s wellbeing and truly wants the best for them. His bedside manner is difficult to match.
