Dr. Tyler Guthrie Johnson, DO

If you see this Dr. run as fast as you can. He should not be treating humans, animals or anything breathing. He is rude, obnoxious, arrogant, self centered, and a phony. He thinks the world owes him. When I found out he was in politics now I know , why are country is going downhill. My husband was sent by ambulance from a small hospital to be admitted. He finally came in after a long time sitting with nurses, laughing having a good time. He was so rude, verbally abusive, crosses his arms on his big gut. He sent my husband back home, by morning he has lost all functions on his left side. We went back to small hospital and they were upset he hadn't admitted my husband the night before. They sent him back to Parkview by ambulance again. He had to stay for weeks. My husband was down for a year because, of this so called Dr. Don't try filing complaints with Hospital Advocate she sides with this unprofessional, unskilled Dr. Parkview Advocates are a joke, who knows they probably gave… him that ego head. I hope the families of these Parkview Advocates get him as a Dr, when they need medical help. Just think of the patients he abuses when, they can't speak up ! Please look at all the reviews, and refuse him as a Dr. And think twice before you vote for him in politics.

I brought my son in to DeKalb Memorial ER for a head injury and Dr. Johnson was the attending doctor at that time. I was so impressed with his willingness to listen to me, educate me on the situation, and put my fears and worries at ease. He was efficient, kind and thorough. More doctors like this would be wonderful!

I saw Tyler G Johnson,DO in the ER at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He walked into my room where I was vomiting and crying because I was in pain. He asked me a few questions while standing in the corner of the room with his arms crossed. He then listened to my chest and walked out of my room. He never touched me, looked at the areas I told him hurt, suggested a care plan or explained anything to me. I laid in my bed 45 minutes until my nurse finally came in to give me fluids and ask for a urine sample. She then walked out saying nothing. I waited 30 minutes and then hit my call button. It took her 15 minutes to come to my room. I asked her if they were going to give me anything for my vomiting and pain. She stated she didn’t know what orders he had put into the computer and then said, “Are you having pain?” Hello....I’m crying, lying in the fetal Position on my bed and rocking back and forth moaning. She left the room and returned about 20 minutes later with pain medicine and… then turned and walked out without saying anything. An hour later Dr Johnson came in the room and stated that my labs were starting to come back and they appeared normal. He then turned and walked out of the room saying nothing else. Ten minutes later my nurse returned with my discharge paper work. I was stunned. The doctor didn’t mention they were sending me home yet or anything about what to do once I left. I was still vomiting and still in pain. I told the nurse I wasn’t leaving until I had someone come speak with me like the doctor or a supervisor. I’ve had medical problems my entire life and 16 surgeries. I’ve dealt with numerous doctors but never one that communicates nothing and seemed bothered or annoyed with treating me. It took an hour for the doctor to come back in again to see me. The ER was not busy.....it was 3:00am and I could hear all of the nurses and doctors having lots of conversations at the nursing station outside my room. My nurse had even stated the last time she was in my room that it was a quiet night in the ER. When he finally returned I explained I was extremely confused because nothing but blood work and urine samples were all they had done. I was feeling exactly as I did when I arrived and begged him to try to find out what was going on with my pain and vomiting. He then states,”If you want investigative care you’ve come to the wrong place.” My mouth fell to the floor. I responded with something like, “Ok. Whatever. I’m ready to get out of here.” He walked out. I waited another 30 minutes and nobody came in my room. My discharge paper work sat on my bed but I couldn’t leave because My IV hadn’t been removed. I hit my nurse call button and waited 20-30 minutes with nobody coming in so I got dressed and took my own IV out of my hand. As I was putting on my shoes the supervisor finally came in. Again....they were not busy and all talking at the nurses station. The supervisor apologized and said she had spoken to the doctor. He told her I refused a CT scam. What? He never offered me one. I would have been thrilled with that option as it may have given me some answers to what was causing me to feel so bad. She stated she would send an email to his supervisor stating my concerns. She apologized again but never offered any solution or even to have another doctor in the ER to possibly come see me. She then said she would remove my IV. I told her I had done it myself since I sat waiting for so long with my nurse light and nobody responding and I was ready to leave. In all, I sat at the ER from 1:30am - 6:30am just to have urine tested and blood work done. I left feeling exactly how I felt when I arrived. This doctor was the absolute worst doctor I have ever met. He was arrogant and rude. This is the worst care I’ve ever received and spent tons of money for no answers or help. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. I came and just broke down. I’ve never been treated so awful.
