Tyler Reimschisel, MD

My son has an extremely rare genetic syndrome (150 cases worldwide) and we saw Dr. Reimschisel after our first geneticist had given us an incorrect diagnosis. Dr. Reimschisel immediately gave us the correct diagnosis, coordinated participation in a study with another hospital, and helped me to understand that my son has the potential to have a healthy, productive life. We have seen him for several followup appointments and he has gone above and beyond in educating himself about my son's syndrome and answers all questions. Dr. Reimschisel received the results from our last brain MRI when out of town at a conference and took the time to personally call as soon as he received them and addressed all my questions.

This Doctor misdiagnosed my child.Now I am fighting a "label" for my child that should not be. This doctor is a joke!

Dr Reimschisel was the worst physician I have ever taken my child to. Once I mentioned that I had been to another hospital and that I had a report which mentioned future studies to rule out possible diagnoses he immediately shut me off. He would not listen to my child's symptoms or history he said he does not have any of these issues. He even went as far to tell me that the other physician from the other hospital agreed with him. I found out later he did not even speak with him. My child has multiple disabilities with eight specialist so we see physicians regularly and I have never dealt with a physician as unprofessional as this one. If you value your child's health stay clear of Dr. Reimschisel.

Dr Reimschisel would not even let me explain my child's symptoms or history. As soon as I said we came from another hospital and had possible diagnoses that I would like to follow up on, he immediately shut me off and told me my child didn't have those ailments. He even went as far to say that he spoke with the other doctor and he agreed with him. I found out later that he did not. Stay away if you value your child's health! I have never had any other issues with Vanderbilt Childrens physicians and I have seen quite a few.

Dr. Reimschisel has seen my daughter on numerous occasions and he has always gone out of his way to explain her diagnosis with me and anwser all my questions. On one visit, he spent 25 minutes just anwsering all the questions I had.

I met Dr. Reimschisel while admited to a hopsital. I was not impressed with him at all. He was neglectful and contributed to my poor health today, because of his ignorance and refusal to help me.He is on my list of doctors to never refer people to.
