Dr. Udi Zaken, MD

Dr Zaken spent the majority of our first visit talking about payment. It was supposed to be an evaluation visit, but he kept repeating himself about their terms of payment - about which the receptionist had asked me to sign a form TWICE. There seemed to be very little concern for my mental health, but a lot of convern about making sure that the Dr gets his money. I have always paid my bills, so it has never been an issue. I will not be going back. I will find a Dr who can focus on my health. Dr Zaken is not that Dr.

I would not recommend him.

Dr. Zaken is not only an extremely competent physician but also a very gifted and caring talk-therapist. Let's face it, medical doctors are sometimes (often) not the most empathetic listeners, capable of actually "hearing" you - this is not the case with Dr. Zaken. He not only took extra time past our scheduled medicine appointment to talk with me further about my issues, but he regularly followed up with my former therapist to ensure his treatment plan worked and to discuss my progress. I was unhappy with my regular therapist (for many reasons) and because of Dr. Zaken's beyond-the-call-of-duty practice, I switched my regular therapy sessions to him as well. I cannot stress enough how helpful it is to have my psychiatrist and therapist under one roof, let alone in one brain! I've made substantial progress thanks to Dr. Zaken - I highly recommend him.

Go see the reviews on Yelp. He he will charge you $175.00 if you are late or try to cancel. 24 hour notice...no way...48 HOUR NOTICE! $175.000!!! That is CRAZY!!!! Finally, he is very hard to interact with, very cold and buries himself in his computer instead of listening!

This Dr. has an Office Manager and other staff to help. can always get someone on the phone and get an appointment the same day. or at worst in a couple of days.

dr. zaken will yell at you and not let you finish a sentence. He is overly strict and domineering. And he is trying to assert his authority too much. He creates a contentious atmosphere, and has very little to offer in the way of constructive therapy. It felt like a waste of my time.His medication recommendations were sometimes risky and he is very difficult to work with.
