Dr. Ulises Garcia, MD

I had a horrible experience with this doctor at Kaiser Panorama City. I came to the ER pregnant and in need of help, but instead of providing care, the doctor asked me “why do I keep coming to the ER and why am I here again, I’m not even a Kaiser member..?” That was dismissive, unprofessional, and discriminatory. First of all, why would anyone go to the ER unless it was a real emergency — especially during pregnancy? My insurance clearly covers ER services, so there was no reason to question or shame me for being there. Instead of compassion, I was met with judgment. This is by far the worst doctor I have ever encountered at Kaiser. I left feeling unsupported and discriminated against at one of the most vulnerable times in my life. Horrible experience — I truly don’t know how this doctor is still practicing. It’s not surprising to see he has horrible reviews.

I almost died because of this man. I was admitted to the ER in march of 2019 with a gallbladder about to burst. I was in tremendous pain. He said "we don't do emergency surgery for gallbladders". Well, a day later they had to, it burst, I had sepsis, almost died. Thanks doc!

I went to the ER and this doctor refused to treat my symptoms because when I registered I said I had one pain but then it traveled. I’ve never been disrespected in such a way, he is suppose to be a caregiver and he didn’t care!

Dr. Garcia is empathetic, he takes the time to listen and he is extremely skilled and knowledgeable. Excellent physician who excels above many of his colleagues. The ED experience is less than perfect, but the MD and his qualifications made up for it.
