I love Dr. Ponniah he is very nice and explains everything to me.

All i can say is please do not allow him to be your childs surgeon. My grandson is currently still in hospital with a hole in his heart and a heart murmur. He went in on a thursday and by saturday all our daughter had heard or not even seen from this quack from her sons xrays was from a nurse saying " he refuses to come in today (saturday) just to tell you his xrays look normal." REALLY!!!! Our daughter had questions about the xrays that the nurse could not answer. of coarse there is several more reasons that i can describe but that one took the cake. Of coarse its your choice but please watch out for him if he comes into your childs room and says hes your childs doctor.... good luck.

If I could take my child to a different pediatric cardiologist, I would. Unfortunately, all of the peds cardiologists work together, therefore switching to a different doctor is difficult and doesn't necessarily mean you'll get an unbiased second opinion. Dr. Ponniah is a very nice well mannered man who seems to genuinely care for his patients. However, English is a secondary language for him, and his accent makes him very difficult to understand. It often seems like he doesn't understand us or our concerns for our child's condition. Like I said before, if we could switch doctors, we would. Our child's care is too important to get lost in translation. :-(
