Dr. Urfan A Dar, MD

No compassion at all. All he wants to do is make as much money as possible from his victims. Saw him for a year and gained nothing.

Dr Dar is not a good doctor. He is not nice to his patients and does not care about the pain they have.

Arrogant and rude. I would avoid this doctor at all costs. Totally lacks empathy

Dr. Dar asked me about my pain and then listened to me with complete attention. He explained ways of treatment and together we made a plan. He contolled my pain with minimun treatment for many years. I had absolute confidence in him, and found his staff to be pleasant and professional. I moved from San Antonio over two years ago. Until recently, I have not needed treatment for the back pain, but even so, I miss having Dr. Dar.

He screwed me up. Hit nerve for right arm woke up with arm on fire. He dismissed me without help and i had to go directly to ER. Dont see this doctor he lines you up like cattle in the hallway. Trust me i still have permanent nerve damage 5 years later.

Dr. Dar was my daughter's pain management specialist for nerve pain and neck & back pain after an accident. He was highly recommended and after reading all the wonderful reviews, we made an appointment for her to see Dr. Dar. In the beginning and for several months, Dr. Dar really seemed to take an interest in helping our daughter with her extensive pain. He was very considerate and spent time answering all of our questions and explaining his plan for pain relief. After a few months of only minimal relief experienced by my daughter, Dr. Dar switched her to his PA. Her first two appointments with the PA went very well, however, he seemed to lose interest in a short amount of time. Her appointments with the PA soon became appointments to refill prescriptions whether they were working well or not. She asked to see Dr. Dar for an appointment since the PA was so disinterested, but she was told she could only see the PA. While she was still seeing Dr. Dar, he preformed a procedure on her… back. Later that evening she was in so much pain, we called his exchange twice and asked them to page Dr. Dar. He never returned the calls so we took her to the ER, where she spent most of the night while they tried to get her pain under control. The ER physician was shocked and extremely upset that Dr. Dar left our daughter without any way to control her acute pain after the extensive procedure he preformed. He left several messages with Dr. Dar's exchange but Dr. Dar still had not called him after we left the ER the next morning. We have seriously considered filing a formal complaint with the medical board regarding Dr. Dar's negligence in the care our daughter received after her procedure. If the ER had refused to treat her, I don't know what we would have done.

I'm currently a patient of Dr. Dar's. My life is much better. Want to feel like you want to live life another day? Then, I would tell you go see Dr. Urfan Dar. He's super! I just can't say, enough nice things about him and his staff. They work like a well oiled machine. With the amount of patients they see in one day, who are in tremendous pain, some are rude and ugly to the staff. I can say that I have ever had anyone be grumpy with me or see anyone in the staff that way. I really like the way Dr. Dar takes his time with me and explain what he would like to do to help with my back pain. Life is much better, since he's came into my life. Thank you, Dr. Dar and Staff. Sorry, I could only give you four stars, it should have been FIVE!!!

Dr. Dar and his staff are great at what they do. I had been suffering from lower back pain for several months and finally sought treatment. Since then, I have actually been able to function at work and play with my grandkids when they visit. I am so grateful for the treatment.

I just wanted to thank you Dr. Dar for all your support as I went through my treatment. I am so happy to be pain free and get back to my life. If anyone is looking for a great pain doctor, Dr Dar is the best in San Antonio.
