I believe this surgeon is highly skilled, and I had a good outcome from my cataract surgery. However, I will not be seeing him again for the other eye. He is condescending, dismissive of patient concerns, and doesn’t answer questions. At one visit, he literally told me he didn’t have time for my questions and that the answers were in the online portal. But when I checked the portal and compared it to the written instructions I was given, I found significant discrepancies. There were also contradictions between what he told me at one visit and what he said at another, and between what he said and what was written down. I have a master’s degree in an allied health profession and decades of experience in clinical and hospital settings. I am more than capable of having a substantive discussion with a physician. This was not that. I value his surgical skill, but the lack of clear communication, consistency, and basic respect for the patient’s role in their own care is unacceptable.

Thank you so much Dr. Soiberman for giving me my life/sight back. Your kindness, thoughtfulness, and professionalism helped me through a very difficult time in my life…you are simply the best!

Even during the Covid epidemic and the many postponements he gave me the best care possible. The surgery went very well and my unique issues were easily overcome by his team. He always answered my questions and made me feel very at ease. All in all it was the most pleasurable experience with a physician I can remember.
